I was happily surprised to arrive back in San Francisco to find blue skies and sunshine. Such a good surprise. Since we still both have this week off before returning to work and school, Robin and I decided to head over to Dolores Park in the Mission on Wednesday afternoon to soak up some sun and relax. I’ve only been here on the weekends where it feels like the whole city is out on the grass – this day was no different.
I’ve been meaning to try out Boba Guys for ages now and since their Mission shop is just a few blocks down from Dolores Park, we headed their first to get some ice-cold Horchata with Almond Bobas. Yum yum! I highly recommend this bubble tea shop if you are ever in San Francisco. The city is doing construction on the upper half of the park so we settled on the lower half, broke out the blanket and uke and just relaxed for a good hour or so.
I used this sun-filled afternoon to try out my new Warby Parker sunnies with their Home Try-On program. I’m terrible at picking the right frames for my face – still haven’t really nailed down what looks good on it and what doesn’t. Because of that I was so excited to learn about Warby Parker’s Home Try-On where you can pick out 5 frames (glasses or sunglasses or both!) and have them mailed to you for FREE! to try out for 5 days. Which was awesome since I learned that out of the 5 I picked out, only 2 actually flattered my face shape. That’s the only hard part about online shopping – I never get to try things on! I know I’m not the only one who rides this struggle bus. I picked out 5 sunglasses (linked below) and even though some didn’t look good on me, they are all so well made and pretty. There’s still a lot of summer left, so don’t miss out on doing your own home try-on! Warby Parker has a new Circuit Collection that isn’t yet available on home try-on, but I’m supppper duper pumped for when they are so I can try them out.
That’s right, there is a lot of summer left. And everyone knows that fall is actually the warmest time of year in San Francisco, so here’s to more sunshine and afternoons in Dolores Park!
