On My Mind No.5

This week has been my “get shit done week”, which has been proved difficult in between San Francisco Fashion Week shows. Next week, I’m starting a new job. Because of that, I’ve been trying to cross everything off my to-do list so I can start October with a clear mind and a clean apartment! But really, our apartment is getting really disorganized… Anyways, this is what’s on my mind this week:

1// This cute little girl who made a heartfelt plea to her mom to be friends with her dad after they had a fight. For a 6-year old, she’s very wise. My favorite part of her speech is when says “Try not to be that high up that you can’t be friends”. This is worth a watch.

3// Rock Bottom: 6 Ways I Was Awakened After Having A Breakdown In My 20s: Hey recent grads, or anyone, really – if you’re feeling off in your career and life, read this. It’s so easy these days to feel like you aren’t living up to your potential, and this girl’s article perfectly sums up that frustration and some great realizations. My favorite quote is one she pulls from Marilyn Monroe: “Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

4// Scream Queens: I missed the first part, but caught the second part of the premiere and was hooked right away. If you haven’t seen it or a trailer, Screen Queens is a new TV show about a serial killer on a college campus who targets girls from a specific sorority. But it’s way more funny than horror (I hate horror). For those of you who have seen it, I’m 100% sure that the baby is either the killer or one of the girls in the house. Small chance that the mom didn’t actually die and is the killer. I want that on the record. Also, can we talk about how this is the first time a Jonas brother didn’t annoy me? Way to grow up, buddy. Other new favorite show? The Muppets.

5// San Francisco Fashion Week: I’ve been going to shows and events all week long.
