Life is too short to constantly say "one day, one day, one day". We always wanted to go on a van trip down the coast, so one night in June we said "F*ck it, let's rent one!" Two weeks later we were driving around in this baby. 🚐 I got SO many questions about the route we took & I finally got a blog post up for you guys! I’ve gained weight the past year or so. I don’t own a scale so I’m not entirely sure how much, but enough that some favorite pieces of clothing squeeze tight or no longer fit. I know weight gain is normal - with age comes natural shifts in your body. (I’m pretty sure my metabolism fell off a cliff a year ago. ) But I would be lying if it wasn't a source of anxiety for me. When I cleaned out my closet a few weeks ago, I got really stressed out over clothing item after clothing item not fitting my body anymore, things I was wearing just a year ago. Avenue of the Giants is just as magical as you imagine it should be. 🌲 🌲 🌲 What I loved about these redwoods, are that there's trails for every hiker. Short, easy .5 mile loops (which we did on our visit since it was during a heatwave) to a trail almost 4 miles long. Did you know flowers are proven to make you happy? Flowers trigger dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin in your brain. Put fresh flowers by your desk, your kitchen tabel, bedside - anywhere that you could use a bit of happiness! Next time we go to the farmers market & I buy flowers, I'll be reminding robin THEY MAKE US HAPPY SO IT OK TO SPEND ALL THE MONIES ON THEM😂 ⠀
