August 2024 Astrological Transits
- Mercury Retrograde in Virgo and Leo (August 5-28): The big story in August is that Mercury will be retrograde almost the entire month, appearing to move backwards through both earth sign, Virgo, (for the third year in a row), and fire sign, Leo. This is a time of reflection and reevaluation – and usually lots of typos!
- Venus in Virgo (August 4-29): Venus will also spend almost the entire month in Virgo. The patriarchy likes to tell us that Venus, the goddess of love and sex, can’t possibly be comfortable in Virgo, the sign of the virgin, but there is actually a lot of opportunity for growth, healing, and sacred reconnection with self during this time.
