This year, denim trends are on my mind. I can’t lie, there is nothing more punk-retro classic than a killer jean jacket. That being said, I can’t help but feel a lot of denim pieces this season are a little too close to my 90’s closet. Denim can be a wonderful fabric for both the fun texture and colors it offers, but you gotta wear it right.

This season, look for denim pieces like this chic yet playful dress by LE CHÂTEAU. The geometric pattern of different dyed denim swatches makes for an elevated way to rock the denim trend. I think we can all agree that this piece doesn’t feel like the 90’s one bit!
Don’t be afraid to accessories with denim pieces, too! I love this new bag from Target. My old work tote has seen better days, and I love how much stuff I can fit into this new one. Other fun denim trends to try are keychains, shoes, and tassels (earrings, necklaces, etc).
