If you follow @TheWhimsySoul on Instagram, you’ve probably been watching our weekly Bachelorette Wine Monday Stories series (where each Monday we pop open a bottle of wine and share awesome new varietals and wineries with you.) Needless to say, The Bachelorette is one of my biggest guilty pleasures, and luckily, most of my girlfriends also love to watch the show! It’s turned into a tradition for us to get together at someone’s house Monday night with wine and a lot of snacks!
Despite being a 7×7 mile city, San Francisco is really hard to navigate via public transportation unless you’re heading to Market Street. Because of that, I always opt for taking an Express POOL via Uber to Bachelorette viewing parties. While traveling all over the country, I’ve noticed that Express POOL isn’t available everywhere, so I wanted to take a moment to highlight just how awesome this Uber ride-sharing option is. It literally makes Bachelorette get-togethers happen for me!
You may have heard of uberPool, where a ride is shared with multiple riders going in the same direction. Express POOL is similar, but the route is even more focused on the most direct and fastest route possible. Because of that, the app may prompt you to walk a block or two, or cross the street, etc, so your driver can pick you up without deviating from the most direct route. You also may have to walk a few blocks after being dropped off at a common destination dropoff point. That being said, I find that I don’t always have to walk to be picked up or dropped off from an Express POOL as sometimes I’m already in a good location, but I’m always prepared to do so if needed.
The benefits? The rides are cheaper! Which is great for this budget-minded gal. Plus, I love that I don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to get to my friends. Express POOL offers a safe and cheap way to drink wine with the girls and yell at the TV screen.
I started watching The Bachelorette the summer before my senior year of college when I was home, bored. Since I’ve gotten my husband into the show and watch it almost every week. It’s so addicting! Do you watch? Who do you want to be the next Bachelor? I’m personally rooting for Jason! I’m also excited for Bachelor In Paradise to start. Here’s to more nights with the girls, Express POOL, wine and popcorn!
