H&M is one of my go-to stores to find cute yet affordable clothing items. It’s sometimes a hit or miss on sizing, but for the most part, I can always find some pieces that flatter a size 12 woman like me. It’s been a few months since I shopped at H&m so it was time to make a review haul!

H&M Haul Spring 2019 Video Transcript
Kara: All right guys. Welcome back to my channel. Thank you for stopping on by. Today I’m going to be showing you a H&M unboxing/haul. Super excited. H&M is one of my favorite go to stores to find clothes that are pretty affordable and cute and actually fit my size 12 curves.
Kara: Real quick before I get started, make sure to subscribe to my channel and also follow me on Instagram. I just did another haul and then I went on vacation so I kind of forgot what I ordered. So it should be fun showing you what I bought and how they look on a size 12 woman & reviews. Should be fun.
Kara: I always love these company boxes by the way. Presentation’s very nice. H&M is one of my go to places to get cute things that are affordable and actually fit me and are trendy, that aren’t made it so terribly. Not like Shein. You can see my recent hall with Shein. Don’t recommend it. Not a good business.
Kara: All right, so the first thing I got was this gorgeous bag. I forgot that I ordered this and I really like it. So my idea was I could bring this to places like Hawaii or just any summer sort of beachy day because the handles are really sturdy and it’s deep enough that your phone isn’t just going to like fall right out if your wiggling this around.
I’ve been really into that wicker bag thing and I ordered a bunch of them off of Poshmark last year and I love my vintage wicker and rattan bags but they break so easily because they’re vintage. So I kind of wanted something that wasn’t vintage. But I’d say that this is really nice. I’m trying to, after that Shein debacle, I’m trying to really inspect my items now. And I can’t see how this could easily break. It seems like it’s made pretty well. I’m tugging on it here and it doesn’t look like it’s going to fall apart at all. H&M quality of clothing is usually good. My only hang up is you might not be able to put lipsticks in here because the holes in the bottom are definitely big enough to put a lipstick and if you move a phone. But if you’re not putting small items like that in here, this bag is really great. Why doesn’t H&M have reviews? I guess I have to tell you what’s up.
Kara: All right, next up I’ve got, what is this, oh, I remember now. It’s this cute top. Let me put this on for you real quick.
Kara: So I really like this top. It goes to about here. I just, I liked the bib. So how do I feel about it in person? I don’t know. Here, let’s stand up and look at it. Can we see it now? Granted, these are not the pants to wear with it. I think this might be cute with some jeans maybe. I don’t know how I feel about this ruffle bib real though. I think overall this looked a lot better on the model than it does on me. I kind of have a love hate relationship with this ruffley thing that’s going on. This might be really cute with some tight skinny jeans to kind of balance out all the stuff that’s going on up here. But I feel like if you have bigger boobs than I do it’s just going to be one giant ruffle, like a Victorian age sort of situation. You might need a wig to top this look off.
Kara: Okay, so next up I got these fun sunglasses, which I’d originally … Alexa, I’m not talking to you. Which I had … Woo. Views. Yeah, I’m not talking to you Alexa. Who else has their Alexa just join in on conversations all the time?
Kara: Anyways, I’ve got these originally from Palm Springs, but I think they’ll be fun for any sort of tropical summary vacation. Oh, you can see the rest of my apartment in that. Maybe I shouldn’t get so close. It is messy. These are like $4 so definitely going to keep these. Very affordable. Very Fun.
Kara: The other accessory I got was this headband, which actually coincidentally goes very well with my jumpsuit. Yeah, I mean it doesn’t pinch too well. So usually with headbands, because I do like headbands, I usually have cloth ones that I can tie myself because I don’t like the way that these pinch my head and within an hour it starts giving me a headache. So I think I might wear this to see if it has that effect. So far I don’t think it is, but it’s quite cute. I like the pattern. They’re like little daisies. I can see styling this with like a white tee shirt and some shorts and some red lipstick and you’re kind of good to go for any summer look.
Kara: So next up I got this shirt which I envisioned wearing with this skirt So I’m going to put it on real quick for you guys.
Kara: Okay, so this is the whole outfit. Can you see me? I love the skirt. It is so tulle and pretty. It’s a little heavy so it might be a little hard to wear on super hot summer days, but it’s great for spring and I like how the tulle kind of comes up here. The only problem is it’s really big you guys. I like to wear my skirts at my waist. As you can see, I kind of have this like hourglass figure. And I got a large and I think I would’ve gone with a medium. Honestly, maybe even a small in this which is very uncharacteristic of me. But right now, this is really calling to be worn more down here, which is not a great look.
Kara: Top a lot as well. So it looks really nice paired together in my opinion. I don’t think usually wear bras with tops like this so you might have issues if your boobs are a little bigger. But I think it’s fine. The sleeves are pretty long so I’d probably roll these up a little bit. If this was a little tighter I think this would be really nice to tuck in and just have this great off the shoulder, airy summer look, maybe go wine tasting in this. I definitely like this a whole bunch. And then I actually got some shoes to pair with this. Let me go show you real quick.
Kara: For heels I look for things that are no taller than this. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just because I’m getting older. I’m 27. I’m not trying to be tromping around in clubs and stuff on, my cat’s playing with the packaging, stuff like that. But I just prefer things that aren’t crazy tall. I also live in San Francisco where I have to walk a lot up and down hills. I’ve had a lot of hit and misses with H&M shoes to be honest. Usually I get my shoes from Target because they just always that my feet really well. These are actually really nice. Okay, I’m glad you’re enjoying that.
Kara: All right, so that is it. I just tossed it everywhere, but that’s all that I did on my most recent haul for H&M. So in general I usually don’t have as many misses as I did on this box. I think it’s just, the shirt’s fine but the skirt’s just a little too big and that other shirt was just kind of weird in person. Some things just look really great on the models and some things just don’t look good on you. The H&M customer service is helpful. You can get them by email. Delivery is usually fast but on this shipment is was really slow. Problems with H&M delivery happen sometimes.
Kara: In general, I think H&M does a really good job at making clothing for curvy woman. I usually don’t have any problem finding something there. I wear a size 12 and a large most days. You know how it is with stores. Some days I wear an eight, some days I wear an extra large or a 14. It kind of just depends, but usually H&M is pretty true to size. They’re pretty affordable. Sometimes they have really good deals. I might have to get this skirt and a medium because I really like it. I love hm. The H&M return policy is good – you can easily return anything via H&M shipping lables they send you.
