CAKES Body is a new pasties company on the market that I keep seeing all over my TikTok. Some of the videos almost seem to good to be true — what do you mean these ladies with itty bitties are suddenly getting lifts without a pushup bra?
I’m a gal who doesn’t like to wear a bra unless I have to, but there’s plenty of tops and dresses I own that really do beg for nipple covers to be presentable. This makes me the perfect person to test these trendy new adhesive silicone nipple covers and see if they are worth the hype.
CAKES Body Nipple Covers Come In Different Shapes & Skin Tones
Snaps for a company making inclusive products right out the gate. Cakes offers their nipple covers in sizes:
- itty bitty (AA-A)
- OG (B-DD) (+)
- (DDD+)
along with skin tone shades in Honey, Caramel, and Cocoa. As a pale girl, honey works just fine for me under my clothes. And the sizing of their covers, despite being a broad range, work really well. I’m a C-cup and the OG size gives me all the coverage I need, and then some.
Their Nipple Covers Are Sticky, But Take A While To Get Them To Stick
These covers made a great seamless option for pasties, but getting the adhesive-free product to stick isn’t always easy. I find there’s always one cover that just doesn’t want to lie flat at first so I have to spend a few minutes working at getting it down and actually seamless.
Once I discovered this process goes a lot faster when I wash them right before I put them on, getting ready became more of a breeze. And once they are down, they stay in place most of the day.
But, I wouldn’t wear these for a workout, for example, and I’m not sure how they could hold up on a very hot summer day when I’m sweating a lot (I’ll update this post when I have more info this summer).
These Don’t Give Me A Rash
I’m a rashy girl. My skin is sensitive to everything, especially the adhesive in bandaids and yes, you guess it, the backing of pasties.
It’s not uncommon for me to wear pasties and at the end of the day, have a large red rash where they were stuck on my skin.
But, thankfully, CAKES doesn’t leave a rash. Their pasties are grippy, not sticky, so there’s nothing to give me a rash. Snaps for that.
CAKES Nipple Covers Reusable, Which I Love
One thing I know fellow women struggle with is finding products that aren’t one-time uses in our world. So many of our products, clothes and beauty items are disposable and it can get exhausting always buying more more more and throwing things away.
That’s why I really do love the CAKES model. The nipple covers are sticky, but when they lose their stick, you can wash them with water to clean them and they become sticky again. I’ve been using these disposable sticky nipple covers for years but hate always having to buy new ones. This is a great solution and a great value for the purchase.
I Wasn’t Blown Away By The Lift, Though
So many influencers on TikTok kept showing how their Cakes turned their A cups into C cups, but I don’t know what kind of fake video magic they are doing, since that’s not the case. These are silicone pasties. They are body pasties, not a push-up bra.
They do a great job at smoothing out the area and effectively hiding your nipples, but they aren’t lifting anything. If you have big girls, these won’t be a suitable replacement for an actual bra, either.
I Think CAKES Are A Nice Upgrade From Pasties Stickers, But Not A Bra Replacement
My formal Cakes body review is this: they’re really great pasties but they aren’t the massive lift that I see content creators make it out to be online.
That being said, I do love how these covers made it easy to quickly stick on, wash and re-use. All without giving me a rash.
I’m happy I bought these, as I have been using disposable covers for the past few years and I’m tired of buying new ones all the time.
Since CAKES are so reusable, which is better for the environment and my wallet, I feel like a better human using these. But there’s zero lift here. I wear a C Cup and often just don’t wear a bra, but if you need a bra, these will not be a replacement for a bra with support or lift.
So again: if you find yourself frequently wearing pasties, get yourself a pair of CAKES since you will save money in the long run. But if you are hoping these will be a replacement for a strapless bra, that won’t be the case.
Frequently Asked Questions About CAKES Body
What is the return policy?
They have a standard 30 day return window if you buy direct. They are also sold on Amazon, which has a more flexible return policy.
Cakes Review BBB
CAKES Body is NOT BBB Accredited and because nobody is monitoring their page, they have an F rating due to 2 complaints by customers. This doesn’t always mean the business is bad to shop from, it just means they haven’t yet created an account on BBB.
How Do Nipple Pasties Stay On
The CAKES pasties stay on with a non-adhesive grip. They’re grippy, not sticky! If the cover isn’t sticky enough, just wash it in plain water and it’ll get sticky again.
How To Clean Silicone Nipple Covers
For CAKES, I find it’s best to just wash them in gentle soap and water. I need to rinse my CAKES before every use to get the grippy material to grip, but I don’t use soap during these occasions.
I wash them with soap every 3-4 uses, or depending on how sweaty I am.
