When the world shut down in 2020, Fay & Chris Breedlove started making luxury travel-inspired candles to help scratch the itch of wanderlust. And they nailed it – there’s something so intoxicating about Terminal B Candles. I have their EZE burning next to me at this very moment and while I have bought candles in the past that have used Amber or Black Current notes, there’s nothing that compares to the musky, fruity smell filling up my living room right now.
And honestly, every single one of Terminal B Candles are like this. They’re all familiar yet totally unique, which makes me so excited to share this small Black-owned candle brand as my January Candle Of The Month pick!!
Quick Glance:

Terminal B Is Inspired By Travel
If you are a well-seasoned traveler, you may have recognized EZE as the Buenos Aires airport code. That’s because this candle is inspired by hot winter nights spent in the Recoleta district of Buenos Aires (though I think it pairs perfectly with cold winter nights of January too, there’s something so cozy yet invigorating about this scent.)
I’ve never been to Buenos Aires but if THIS is what it smells like, if this is the scent memory that you take home after a trip exploring the city, then hot diggity, I need to get there asap to experience it in person.
That’s one of the reasons I love this candle brand. It’s super fun to burn a candle that reminds you of past adventures, but it’s exciting to travel the world by scent and get to know cities you maybe haven’t considered before. (I also love their 60 hour burn time and strong throw! Fills up my apartment immediately.)
It All Started With SIN
Fay & Chris currently have 14 candles, with new scents being added all the time, but the OG candle is SIN-Singapore Botanical Gardens & White Tea.
This is the first candle their poured in this Southern California home in 2020. They wanted to recreate the feeling of stepping off the jet-bridge into SIN Airport, which has tons of botanical gardens inside. “The entire airport smells fresh, clean and luxurious”, Fay said, “we longed for that feeling during lockdown.”
Soon, Terminal B transformed into a brand with over 14 candles (and more being added all the time!) You’ll find a CDG (Paris) which is the perfect rose candle to reflect the romance of the city, and a DPS (Bali) which is lavish and luxurious which smells like a flower bath enjoyed after a couple’s massage in your villa.
They’ve truly mastered the art of whisking customers across the world, all by scent.
Honestly, all of their scents have a strong throw but if you are looking where to start, go with EZE for the winter months. It’ll help with cabin fever.
