Baby oh baby, I love mascara. I have short lashes and have always struggled with finding a good mascara that gives volume and length (and doesn’t smudge easily!) I asked you guys on Instagram what your favorite mascaras are and you delivered with so many recommendations for me to try out and share reviews on.

I couldn’t try them all. I think I would have ended up spending over $1000 if I tried all the products you guys recommended! To make up for it, I included my personal favorites and also the top recommended brands from you. Keep on reading for the best mascaras of 2019!

*Black Ecstasy by Armani Beauty: I know that designer brand mascaras don’t always mean it’s a better product (just because the label is nice, doesn’t mean the product is.) That’s not the case for Armani Beauty’s Black Ecstasy. It does SUCH a great job at lifting up my tiny eyelashes and doesn’t flake off over the course of the day. I normally don’t buy $30 mascara but I’ll be buying this again. 

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes: A reader favorite, this one was mentioned the most times! You guys love that it’s vegan AND powerful at lash volume. 

 

Essence Princess: You guys love this mascara because of the brush’s design but mostly because of the price point. It’s just $5! (Though right now it’s on sale for $3. BOOYAA)

 

*Isadora Build-Up Mascara: This mascara snuck up on me as another favorite. It currently is the mascara that’s in my travel bag. I love it because it dries so quickly so I can easily apply multiple layers fast while on trips. It’s also water resistant!

 

Lengthening Mascara by Glossier: Readers love this mascara because it doesn’t flake or smudge. It’s an all-day mascara that’s water resistant, which is better than waterproof because you can actually take it off at night without ruining your lashes! 

 

KUSH by Milk: Yes, the name says it all! This mascara contains hemp-derived cannabis seed oil which helps moisturize but also locks in pigment, which means fuller lashes! It’s also cruelty-free, paraben-free, vegan, gluten-free, fragrance-free, and silicone-free.

 

*Clump Crusher Covergirl: My go-to drugstore brand for years. Covergirl was the first mascara I ever used as a teenager. I love the Clump Crusher as it’s a primer and mascara all in one and very affordable. Plus, it’s great at preventing clumps (that’s why it’s called the clump crusher!)

 

Better Than Sex by Too Faced: I haven’t tried this so can’t say if it’s really better than sex (ha!) but so many of you guys were raving about the intense black color of this mascara and the hourglass-shaped brush shape which helps make lashes big and full.

  1. I normally have been using castor oil to keep my lashes healthy. But Dermal MD eyelash growth serum made my lashes grow so thick I basically have a thick layer growing & catching up with my regular lashes! Its so worth the money💕
