Grab me 5 years ago and I would not have believed that I’d ever get to a point where I’d feel comfortable enough in a swimsuit (and my own skin!) to spend the whole afternoon biking around Santa Barbara in just a one-piece. But hey, here I am, biking around Santa Barbara in this cute Athleta swimsuit exploring all the cuteness this city has to offer (like this fun Chromatic Gate art installation by the beach!)
We drove down from San Francisco for a few days to explore Santa Barbara. My knowledge of Santa Barbara stops at Pysch, the TV show around a “psychic” detective solving crimes around the city… the took place in Santa Barbara but was actually filmed in Vancouver. SHHHH!!! So, really, I didn’t know what to expect when exploring SB. But I did know I wanted to swim, I wanted to bike, I wanted to walk and I wanted to eat. And I wanted to hopefully get some color on my ghostly skin. So I grabbed this stripped one-piece suite from Athleta, rented beach cruisers from Bikes To-Go (highly recommend them!) and started exploring Santa Barbara with Robin!
Athleta is a brand I reach to constantly for swimwear, outwear and activewear alike, especially in the warmer months when we’re traveling more and doing more outdoor activities. I was instantly drawn to this stripped lil’ number with a tie in the front. It has so much personality and a lot of comfort for a day of exploration. We biked down by the Chromatic Gate, a fun art installation right by the ocean that is just begging to be Instagrammed. We continued down the beach boardwalk (with a quick stop to jump in the waves!) to before eventually finding McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream and treating ourselves to cone! The suit did a great job keeping all these curves in and looking cute while doing it.
Here’s to more adventures with Athleta!
