Perfect Vermont Escape At Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge In Stowe (Review)

As a seasoned traveler, I’ve explored countless destinations, but my recent stay at Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge in Stowe, Vermont, was truly unforgettable.

This charming Vermont retreat offers the perfect blend of mountain charm and mid-century modern cool.  Paired with modern amenities like fridges in the rooms and a sauna, the Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge is a premier destination for a fall getaway in New England. 

I just got back from New England on a girls trip of a lifetime hunting down all the best fall colors and cozy, fall activities. I was most looking forward to exploring Stowe,  and the moment I stepped into the lodge’s inviting lobby, I knew I had made the right choice in booking the Bluebird.

The chic mid-century modern decor and cozy atmosphere instantly made me feel at home. They have so many thoughtful details, like free coffee with oat milk, a game room, indoor and outdoor pool depending on the season, and even lawn games.

One of my favorite features was the outdoor firepit, which provided the perfect setting for relaxing evenings and enjoying the crisp fall air. There’s something about the smell of campfire smoke and fall leaves that makes me giddy. 

The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out and unwind. Our room had 2 queen beds, a couch, a table with chairs and a private back patio.  I was particularly impressed with the luxurious Ursa Major bath products, which added a touch of pampering to my stay.

When I wasn’t exploring the charming town of Stowe, I enjoyed spending time at the lodge’s amenities. The hot tub, pool, and sauna were perfect for relaxing after a long day of  sightseeing. And for a fun night in, we gathered in the lobby with wine to play a game of Clue (I lost.) 

One of the highlights of my stay was getting an exclusive preview of the new A-Frame cabins at the sister property, AWOL, which just right next-door to Bluebird. These stylish cabins were literally launch a few week before our visit and not every unit was even complete yet.

These are such a special addition to Stowe’s loading scene. They offer a unique and cozy experience, perfect for couples looking for an intimate getaway. I was particularly impressed by the cedar hot tub and cold plunge pool on the AWOL property. 

Overall, Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge is a fantastic choice for our girls trip mountain getaway in Vermont. With its comfortable accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff, it’s no wonder why this lodge has become a popular destination for travelers. Check it out on your Stowe trip!
