Somewhere in my later 20’s, I found myself reaching for heels less and less. I’ll always lust over a cute pair of pumps online, but I know my feet need comfier styles these days.
I’ve been on the hunt for the best flats out there, pieces that can go with many outfits and last for more than a few seasons (which can be hard with fast fashion shoes). Everyone says Everlane makes a killer flat. I’ve bought Everlane’s now retired Day Heel before and loved the fit, so it was time to pull the trigger on a pair. In this post, I’m sharing my honest thoughts on if the Day Glove is worth the price tag, along with important sizing tips.
Everlane Day Glove Review After 2 Months Of Wear + Sizing Tips
I got the cream 100% Italian Leather Everlane Day Glove Flat in a size 9.5. These Everlane flats come in 9 different colors (the basics, like white and black, along with fun bright colors like orange or lime green.)
I bought the cream and it’s the perfect shade. Not too white, not too tan. They seem to go with everything in my wardrobe.
The leather material is surprisingly soft and comfy, not rigid and stiff like I was worried they would be. This is by no means a high end designer flat, but these babies look and feel way nicer than something you would find at Target (which I should know well – many of my impulse purchases at Target are from the shoe section!)
How Is Everlane Day Glove Sizing?
I found the Day Gloves Shoes to run small. I wish I got a size 10 or a 10.5, as the top hits a tad higher on my foot than I would like, causing them to pinch. I do think I can stretch them out and gain a little more length over many wears, but that takes time.
That is probably the only disappointment with my order. I had to quickly google ” how to break in flats “.
I would suggest actually ordering a few pairs of the Glove Shoes so you can test out the fit yourself, and then just returning the other sizes via mail.
Honest Everlane Day Glove Review: Are They Worth It?
If you get the right size, yes, they are totally worth it. I was worried the leather would stain or scuff quickly but they look just as good as the day I bought them, expect a little more stretch out to fit my foot better (as normal with all leather products – they get soft over time!)
Why Is Everlane Different?
While they come out with seasonal collections, Everlane isn’t quite a fast-fashion company. They search for sustainable and ethical ways to produce clothing and share that data on their website for transparency, specifically how much it costs to make an item and their profit margins.
And they make really great pieces, too. I own a jumpsuit that is made really well and I know it’ll be in my closet for years to come.
I hope my Everlane flats review is helpful! Again, if you get the right size this is a fantastic flat that’s versatile and last for ages.
