As soon as the last of the summer heat dies down and the first of the green leaves change to ruby tones, you can bet I am prepping for Fall. Even though I live in sunny California, I’m pulling out my sweaters, scarves, and everything pumpkin spiced. I love constantly switching up my aesthetic to match the passing seasons and Halloween has got to be one of my favorite holidays all year.
This post is for all the Autumn fans out there who love to match their aesthetic with the season. Here are some of the coziest FREE aesthetic iPhone wallpapers I’ve rounded up to get you in the mood for spooky season. Simply screenshot the photo or right click to save onto your device.
Aesthetic Fall Phone Wallpapers to Get You in the Mood for Spooky Season
Autumn is such a multi-faceted season with its hot apple ciders, warm colors, and scary movies – you can go cozy, cutesy, or totally spooky.
I know that not everyone celebrates Halloween, so I’ve tried my best to also choose photos that aren’t “spooky” or “ghost” themed. Spooky season may have its jumpscares and gorey moments, but it can also be such a wholesome time of year of pumpkin picking and foliage watching.
I’ve also included some more subtle pictures that aren’t overly “Fall” or “spooky season” for those of you looking for more discrete aesthetic wallpapers that still express your love for the season.
Falling Leaves iPhone Wallpapers
Is there anything more symbolic of the Fall season than the changing of the leaves? Beautifully vibrant, you can go with a monochrome look like a wallpaper of just yellow foliage, or bring in more dimension by combining rich ruby and golden tones. It’s the perfect pop of color that’ll make any phone feel Fall-ready.
Nothing screams fall like fallen leaves on the forest floor. Or hanging beautifully and colorfully from a maple tree.
Pumpkins Galore
There is no Halloween iPhone backgrounds without those orange pumpkins! Whether you have an annual tradition of going pumpkin picking with friends, or having a jack-o-lantern carving contest, pumpkins are an absolute staple when it comes to getting in the Halloween spirit.
I’ve collected all types of images that feature our beloved pumpkins in different shapes and colors. We’ve got pumpkin patches, pumpkins in baskets, graphics, and my person fav – spooky jack-o-lanterns.
Cozy Autumn iPhone Wallpapers
I don’t know about you, but I’m perfectly content with a day at home. Keep it classy and homey with collections of coffee and candles. These Autumn iPhone backgrounds remind me of being home and curled up in bed with a hot drink and book, or watching some classic Fall films and shows. Throw in a sweater and misty morning and you’ve got the perfect Fall day.
Apple Picking
I love apple cider, but I’m not going to necessarily use a cup of the drink as my wallpaper. BUT I’d consider using these adorable pictures of apples to bring in the new season. There’s something so nostalgic about the gingham patterned picnic blanket and wicker basket that just reminds me of when I was little and would go apple picking with my family.
A homage to good times, these wallpapers are sure to evoke comforting memories. Plus it might inspire you to explore your local apple orchard.
Home Decor Goals
A few tastefully placed candles and place mats can automatically turn any normal table into one that’s clearly ready for Fall. While simple in concept, these are the perfect discrete aesthetic Fall wallpaper for your phone.
Cute Fall iPhone Wallpapers
Phone wallpapers don’t only have to be photographs, they can also be cute cartoons of your favorite things! I love graphic wallpapers because they’re a simple and cute way to level up your phone aesthetic. Plus, they’re super customizable and can cater toward any topic. Go for a more minimalistic graphic wallpaper to keep your screen from feeling overly busy, or liven things up with a collage of all your favorite Fall items!
Have some text that welcomes the new season like this “Hello Fall” image, or use a wallpaper that has a collection of all the best things from the spooky season like ghosts, pumpkins, black cats, and of course fall leaves. There are so many adorable graphic Autumn wallpapers to pick from, you might have a hard time choosing!
Ghost Wallpapers ~ Boo!
I love the TikTok trend where friends would dress up as ghosts wearing sunglasses, hence inspiring this collection of ghost wallpapers. Ghosts don’t always have to be the creepy entities that star in gorey horror films (unless that’s your cup of tea, then go for it). They can also be wholesome and maybe inspire the next photoshoot you have with your friends!
Desktop Wallpapers
Don’t forget to change your desktop wallpaper as the season changes. With how much time I spend using my laptop, it’s important to change up the wallpaper, so that I continue to feel excited and motivated to log on everyday.
Since desktop wallpapers are horizontal, I love choosing landscape photos that capture the cozy ambiance and rustic colors of Autumn.
There are so many options to choose from to pick your perfect aesthetic wallpaper for the spooky season. Whether you’re all about the cozy vibes or you like a darker aesthetic, the options are endless.
For one of the most celebrated parts of Fall, we have Halloween, aka spooky season. Ever since I was little, I loved picking out my costume and getting dressed up for the holiday. It was a time of pumpkin carving, setting up Halloween decorations, and watching horror movies. Of course, not everyone celebrates Halloween and that’s totally ok! It is only a small component in a much larger picture of the season.
Fall has always been one of the seasons I look most forward to every year because it most clearly symbolizes a time of change and unwind. Gone is the blistering heat and in comes a beautiful phenomenon of changing leaves and cool misty days. It’s a time to bring out the cozy sweaters and light sweet smelling candles as we settle into the last few months of the year.
For those of you still in school, it’s the time to reconnect with classmates or meet new ones in a new chapter in your life. For those who have long graduated, it’s still a time to reconnect with nature and loved ones as we witness the seasons changing. So whether you celebrate the “spooky” part of the season or not, what it really is about is to hold your loved ones close and celebrate the ending of another bountiful year.
