This NOYZ fragrance review started with a swag bag. I got invited to the TikTok clubhouse during Super Bowl week in San Francisco (a huge honor, I’m still pinching myself), and everyone went home with a bag of goodies. Inside mine was a bottle of the NOYZ Unmute Mylk De Parfum. I figured it was a fancy body lotion and almost gave it to a friend who loves lotion before I opened it myself.
But I’m a perfume girl. I already have a shelf full of scents I love, from the bottles in my Dedcool perfume review to the Phlur Strawberry Letter perfume I put to the test, so I wasn’t looking to add another brand to my collection. I also hold a WSET Level 2 wine credential, so I’m used to smelling my way through notes and figuring out what’s actually in the glass (or the bottle). And my skin runs a little sensitive, which makes me picky about anything I put all over my body.
Then I put the Unmute Mylk on. I fell in love immediately.
Below I’m breaking down every NOYZ perfume I’ve worn, how each format wears on my skin, what each one costs, the one I brought on the Camino de Santiago, and which bottle I’d buy first.
My NOYZ Fragrance Review Verdict
Yes. Buy it. Start with the Unmute Mylk De Parfum.
It’s $95, which is a lot for something you pour on like lotion. But it outlasts most perfumes I own, and it’s the product that gets me stopped by strangers. If you travel a lot, add the Rinse Cycle solid fragrance ($42) to your bag. Loose Ends is my new cold-weather favorite. Only Human is nice, but it’s my least favorite of the bunch.
How I Tested NOYZ Perfume
I’ve been wearing NOYZ since that Super Bowl swag bag in February, which means months of real-life wear, not a one-week trial.
- Unmute Mylk De Parfum: my everyday fragrance base, including an overnight wear test
- Unmute Eau de Parfum: layered over the Mylk and sprayed on clothes
- Rinse Cycle Solid Fragrance: worn all spring and summer, plus 15 days on the Camino de Santiago
- Only Human Eau de Parfum: regular size, wore most of September
- Loose Ends Eau de Parfum: the newest launch, worn this fall
I’m only reviewing what I’ve actually put on my skin. The scents I haven’t tried yet are in a separate wishlist section further down, and I’m upfront about that.
What Is NOYZ?
NOYZ is an LA-born fragrance brand founded by Shaun Neff in 2024. The whole idea behind it is perfume rooted in real life instead of the glossy fantasy you see in most fragrance ads. Neff has a line about how more people relate to a sh**ty day than to a guy with an 18-pack of abs riding a white horse through a meadow. That cracked me up. It’s also why one of their best sellers is literally named Sh**ty Day.
The scents are made with master perfumer Jérôme Epinette, who created most of Byredo’s fragrances and the scent of Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. Every NOYZ scent is genderless.
A few brand details I like knowing before something goes on my skin:
- Certified vegan and PETA cruelty-free
- No parabens, phthalates, synthetic dyes or animal by-products
- Bottles designed to be taken apart and recycled
- Sold at NOYZ and Ulta Beauty
NOYZ is very popular and very trendy right now, and it’s all over TikTok. Trendy usually makes me skeptical. In this case, I think it’s worth every single penny.
The NOYZ Scents I’ve Actually Worn
NOYZ Unmute Mylk De Parfum Review
- Price: $95 for 5 oz
- Scent family: vanilla and amber
- Notes: black plum, Ceylon cinnamon, pistachio, cashmere woods, Madagascar vanilla, crisp amber
- Strength: eau de parfum strength, alcohol-free
- Best for: smelling good from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (and then some)
This is the one that started it all, and it’s still my favorite NOYZ product. The Mylk De Parfum is a pour-on fragrance milk. It looks and feels like body lotion, but don’t buy it to fix dry skin. You put this on so you smell incredible all day long.
It’s SO concentrated. I use about a quarter-size amount on my body, and that’s plenty. The first time I wore it, I put it on in the late afternoon, went to bed, and could still easily smell it when I woke up the next morning. I hadn’t even layered perfume on top. That’s when I finally understood how some people walk out the door at 8 a.m. and still smell amazing at 8 p.m.
The black plum and cinnamon hit first, and then it settles into a warm vanilla amber on your skin. Every time I wear it, someone compliments me. On my lotion! People stop me on the street to tell me I smell so good, and it’s almost always an Unmute day.
NOYZ makes it alcohol-free and infused with hyaluronic acid, which mattered to me since my skin can be fussy. The Mylk also comes in two other best-selling scents, Only Human and Detour.
I’m gonna be honest with you, $95 is steep for a body product. But you use so little that the 5 oz bottle lasts a long time, and nothing else I own makes me smell this good. Worth it if you want one product that does all the heavy lifting. Skip it if you’re shopping for an everyday moisturizer. You can shop the NOYZ Unmute Mylk De Parfum on ShopMy.
NOYZ Unmute Eau de Parfum Review
- Price: $85 for 1.69 oz
- Scent family: vanilla and amber
- Notes: same core as the Mylk (black plum, cinnamon, pistachio, Madagascar vanilla, amber)
- Best for: layering over the Mylk or spraying on clothes
Once I was hooked on the Mylk, I bought the Unmute perfume too. I layer it on my skin or spray it on my clothes.
My hot take is that you don’t need it. The body milk does most of the work by itself. The spray is a nice extra on days I want more projection, but if you can only buy one Unmute product, buy the Mylk. If you already own the Mylk and want a louder first impression, grab the NOYZ Unmute Eau de Parfum.
NOYZ Rinse Cycle Solid Fragrance Review
- Price: $42 for 7g (0.24 oz)
- Scent family: fresh, clean musk
- Notes: guava, Anjou pear, lemon, cherry blossom, musk flower, sandalwood, vanilla bean
- Best for: travel, purses and warm, sticky days
Rinse Cycle is the newer NOYZ solid fragrance, and I wore it constantly this spring and summer. It’s a fresh, clean musk. Yes, it’s branded around laundry (Rinse Cycle, get it?), but to my nose it smells more like a late spring or early summer day than a dryer sheet. The scent is delicious and kind of addicting.
I swipe it on my wrists and behind my ears. A solid balm wears differently than a spray perfume. With a spray, you smell it big right away and then it fades. Rinse Cycle starts quiet and builds as your body heat melts it into your skin.
Solid fragrance is my go-to for travel. It lives in my purse, and I can touch up anywhere without fogging up a whole room. On hot, humid travel days when I start to feel a little gross, one swipe gives me a little extra pep. Grab the NOYZ Rinse Cycle Solid Fragrance if you want something small enough for every bag you own. Skip it if you want that big first-spray moment. In that case, Rinse Cycle also comes as an eau de parfum spray.
NOYZ Only Human Eau de Parfum Review
- Price: $85 for 1.69 oz
- Scent family: skin-hugging gourmand
- Notes: pink pepper, Italian bergamot, waterlily, bamboo, vanilla bean, ambroxan, cedarwood
- Best for: anyone who wants a warm vanilla with a woodier edge
I wore Only Human most of September. It’s nice! It has that same amber vanilla warmth as Unmute, but the cedarwood and ambroxan make it read a little more masculine to me. NOYZ makes all its scents gender-neutral, so that’s just my nose talking.
If you want a cozy gourmand that leans woodsy, give it a try. I still like Unmute better. If you’re on the fence, grab a trial size first before committing to the full bottle. You can shop NOYZ Only Human Eau de Parfum on ShopMy.
NOYZ Loose Ends Review (The New Holiday Scent)
- Price: $85 for 1.69 oz
- Released: September 2026
- Notes: black sugar, smoked vanilla, cognac, cassia, sheer orchid, amber, cashmere woods, cocoa, tonka bean
- Best for: holiday parties and cold nights out
NOYZ just launched Loose Ends, and I’m obsessed. It shares some DNA with Unmute and Only Human, but the cognac makes it spicier and a little boozy. My WSET-trained nose went straight to it. It reads like a spicy bourbon with cashmere woods underneath.
My husband Robin smelled it on me and said, “Oh, it smells like Christmas.” He’s right. This is the bottle I’ll be reaching for all holiday season. Worth it if you love warm, cozy scents for nighttime. Skip it if you want something fresh for summer (that’s what Rinse Cycle is for). You can shop NOYZ Loose Ends on ShopMy.
Why I Packed a NOYZ Solid Fragrance for the Camino de Santiago
This spring I walked the Camino de Santiago, about 160 miles (257 kilometers) from Porto to Santiago de Compostela over 15 days. Every gram in your backpack counts on a trip like that, and perfume isn’t exactly essential. I brought the Rinse Cycle solid anyway.
Best call. After a long day of walking, I’d shower, put on a clean outfit and swipe on a little Rinse Cycle before heading out for tapas and wine with my Camino friends. It made me feel a little more like a girl again instead of a dirty backpacker. I shared it with my friends, and they all thought it smelled amazing.
Pro-tip: if you’re doing a long walking or backpacking trip, a solid fragrance is the only form of perfume I’d bring. It’s tiny and it can’t leak in your pack. Everything else I carried is in my honest Camino de Santiago packing list.
How Long Does NOYZ Perfume Last?
Longer than almost anything else I own. The Mylk De Parfum is the clear winner, lasting from a late-afternoon application into the next morning on my skin. NOYZ says the Mylk delivers up to 12 hours of wear.
The eau de parfums project the most right after you spray, so I layer them over the Mylk when I want both a big first impression and staying power.
The solid fragrance plays a different game. Rinse Cycle starts soft and gets stronger as it warms up on your skin, so I treat it as a scent I reapply through the day instead of a one-and-done.
How to Apply NOYZ Mylk De Parfum (and Layer It)
The biggest mistake you can make with the Mylk is using it like regular lotion. It’s way too strong for that.
- Use about a quarter-size amount. That’s all I use on my body, and a heavy hand is a lot.
- Put it where you’d spray perfume. NOYZ recommends pulse points, collarbones and the insides of your wrists.
- Apply it first. The Mylk is your base layer.
- Add the matching Eau de Parfum on top if you want more projection, or spray it on your clothes.
On most days, I skip the spray completely. The Mylk on its own is plenty.
NOYZ Body Milk vs Solid Fragrance vs Eau de Parfum
If you’re deciding which NOYZ format to shop, here’s how each one compares on price and how it wears for me:
| Format | Price | How It Wears | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mylk De Parfum | $95 for 5 oz | Pours on like lotion, lasts the longest | Your everyday base |
| Eau de Parfum | $85 for 1.69 oz | Classic spray with the strongest first impression | Layering over the Mylk or spraying on clothes |
| Solid Fragrance | $42 for 0.24 oz | Starts soft and builds with body heat | Travel, purses and touch-ups |
The NOYZ Scents on My Wishlist
I haven’t tried every NOYZ scent yet. These are next on my list, based on the notes:
- Sh**ty Day Eau de Parfum: the brand’s mood-reset scent, with eucalyptus, ocean air, coconut water, salted fig and Baltic amber. I love that a perfume is named after a bad day.
- Love Club: saffron, Sichuan pepper, Tuscan leather, Turkish pink rose and wild raspberry. This one is leather-forward, so I’m curious how it compares to Unmute.
- Lost + Found: Italian lemon and Australian pink pepper up top, with jasmine and rhubarb in the middle. Sounds like a fresh daytime pick.
- Detour: a floral gourmand with mandarin, jasmine, gardenia and vanilla. It’s one of the three best sellers NOYZ also makes in the Mylk formula, so it’s high on my list.
NOYZ Perfume Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Wild staying power, especially the Mylk De Parfum
- I get complimented constantly when I wear Unmute
- Vegan and cruelty-free
- Solid fragrances are perfect for travel
- Genderless scents
Cons:
- The Mylk is $95, which is steep for a body product
- Super concentrated, so go easy (a heavy hand is a lot)
- The solid fragrance is quieter than a spray at first
- Only Human didn’t wow me the way Unmute did
NOYZ Perfume Price Breakdown (Is It Worth It?)
For me, yes. Here’s what each NOYZ format costs:
- Mylk De Parfum: $95 for 5 oz (about $19 per ounce)
- Eau de Parfum: $85 for 1.69 oz (about $50 per ounce)
- Solid Fragrance: $42 for 0.24 oz
The ounce-for-ounce math surprised me. The Mylk looks like the splurge, but it’s actually the best value in the lineup, and nothing NOYZ sells is over $100. That puts the full-size perfumes under a lot of the designer bottles on my shelf.
Worth it if you love smelling good all day and want a scent people ask about. Skip it if you prefer barely-there fragrance or you only want a basic moisturizer.
NOYZ Fragrance FAQ
Is NOYZ perfume long-lasting?
Yes, especially the Unmute Mylk De Parfum. It lasted overnight on my skin, and NOYZ says the Mylk delivers up to 12 hours of wear.
What does NOYZ Unmute smell like?
Unmute opens with black plum and cinnamon, then dries down to a warm vanilla amber with pistachio and cashmere woods. It’s cozy and sweet without smelling like a cupcake, and it’s the NOYZ scent I get the most compliments on.
Can you use NOYZ Mylk De Parfum as a moisturizer?
Not really. It feels like lotion, but it’s eau de parfum strength, so using it all over like body lotion would be way too much scent. A quarter-size amount on your pulse points is all you need, so keep your regular moisturizer for dry skin.
Is NOYZ unisex?
Yes. Every NOYZ scent is designed to be genderless. To my nose, Only Human leans a little more masculine than Unmute.
Where can I buy NOYZ fragrance?
You can shop NOYZ directly at noyz.com or at Ulta Beauty. I linked my favorites on ShopMy throughout this post.
Is NOYZ vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. NOYZ formulas are certified vegan and PETA cruelty-free, and they’re made without parabens, phthalates, synthetic dyes or animal by-products.
What does NOYZ Rinse Cycle smell like?
Rinse Cycle is a fresh, clean musk. It opens with juicy guava and pear, then dries down to sandalwood and vanilla. It’s laundry-themed, but it smells more like a warm late spring day to me.
Who makes NOYZ perfume?
NOYZ was founded in Los Angeles by Shaun Neff, and its scents are made with master perfumer Jérôme Epinette.
Is NOYZ made by the same perfumer as Sol de Janeiro?
Yes. Jérôme Epinette creates the NOYZ scents, and he also created the scent of Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. If you love warm gourmand scents, that connection makes sense once you smell Unmute.
Which NOYZ scent should I buy first?
The Unmute Mylk De Parfum. It’s the product that made me a fan, it’s the best value per ounce, and it’s the one I get the most compliments on.
My Final Verdict on NOYZ
I own a lot of perfume, and NOYZ still surprised me. The Unmute Mylk De Parfum is the best-smelling body product I’ve ever used, and Rinse Cycle has earned a permanent spot in my travel bag. Loose Ends is coming with me to every holiday party this year. I wish I’d found this brand sooner.
