Robin and I are in Mesa, Arizona right now exploring with the tourism board. Yesterday we had a full day of eating on the itinerary at farms, wineries and other shops.
I rented this beautiful Oh Seven Days from Nuuly and it makes the perfect dessert dress. I adore the flowy skirt and the unique two-tiered front tie to add personality. Everything Oh Seven Days makes has something that’s unique – maybe it’s cool buttons, or slightly puffier sleeves or vintage-feeling designs. They’re a cool small sustainable clothing brand I want to try more of.
Oh Seven Days Sustainable Sourcing Mission
As I’ve chatted about a lot before here on Whimsy Soul, the fashion industry has some major ethical and environmental issues. Oh Seven Days makes strives to operate in a sustainable way. They use Deadstock fabric as much as they can to be Zero Waste.
Deadstock fabric is the leftover fabrics from other fashion brands who either overestimated their fabric needs, or found small faults in the fabric resulting in the whole roll being tossed. Oh Seven Days will take this deadstock and turn what would have been tossed out into something beautiful.
Oh Seven Days Sizing Review
So, how does this dress fit? I always get this question! I’m wearing a Large and once I got it on, it fit fine, but getting it on and off is really hard.
I do think the dress runs small overall. I needed Robin’s help to pull it off my at the end of the day. The olive dress only goes up to a Large, but they make this same style in white that goes up to a size XL which I think would have fit a lot better overall. If you can, size up on this!
