There’s no better feeling than making your house feel like home, and it comes down to more than just furniture or throw pillows. Staring at paint color you didn’t choose in your rental can be a total drag.
Obviously painting is pretty common, but it’s not always an option if you’re renting. Traditional wallpaper is also hard to DIY and a pain to remove.
Peel and stick wallpaper solves both of these problems and is such an underrated way to add some oomph to your space—it doesn’t take up room or require special tools for installation and comes in every design possible.
Whether you’re a diehard florals lover, looking for subtle texture or just want something loud and funky, there’s something for you with these top peel and stick wallpaper brands!
What Is Peel and Stick Wallpaper?
Also referred to as removable and self adhesive wallpaper, peel and stick wallpaper is a temporary wallpaper that’s designed for easy installation and removal without leaving residue or damage. Most temporary wallpaper comes in rolls or panels, with self adhesive backing so it can be application can be done without glue or traditional adhesive.
Not only is it great for renters, but removable wallpaper is also a nice option for those who like to switch up the look of their space without the long-term commitment that comes with things like painting and pasted wallpaper.
It’s also easy to install wallpaper as backsplash, and most removable wallpapers are fade/stain-resistant and can be simply wiped clean with warm water.
Of course you can check out large home improvement stores and general retailers like Home Depot or Target, but you don’t want to miss out on the hidden gems.
There’s so many smaller brands that specialize in peel and stick wallpaper that offer one-of-a-kind designs and customizations – so overall value might be worth an extra buck!
25 Best Peel & Stick Wallpaper Brands
I’ve done the research and narrowed down 25 awesome brands that offer removable wallpaper and highlighted some of my favorite print designs. Don’t worry if you don’t have completely smooth walls—I made sure to include a few brands whose easy apply wallpaper works with texture!
The Spoonflower peel and stick wallpaper line has a matte finish with a subtle woven texture that’s washable and low maintenance. They only use eco-friendly inks and everything is formaldehyde, phthalate, and PVC-free! The wallpaper removes with zero residue and is tear-resistant, making the removal process easy.

We’ll definitely be using Spoonflower in the new cabin to elevate some plain walls. This beautiful swan feather flock design looks so elegant! I love that from a distance it might look like a normal neutral color but up close it’s more exciting. I’m also a fan of this floral print—it would be great as a statement wall or to brighten up a bathroom.
Chasing Paper sources all of their materials in the United States and has some of the sweetest designs! Their removable wallpaper is actually a fabric that is non-toxic, washable, and great for DIYers.

Each order is still custom-made by the artists and manufacturing team—all of the wallpaper patterns are hand-drawn! You can even create a custom design with the help of their designers.
This art deco-inspired print is understated but super elegant. I feel like dark walls can be frowned upon but the gold details break up the darkness and keep it interesting. If subtle isn’t your thing, this bold tropical design gives White Lotus vibes (in the best way)!
This Etsy shop has over 45,000 reviews and an average 4.8-star rating… need I say more? Not only do they have gorgeous designs, but great customer service too. We’re using one of their peel and stick wallpapers in the cabin and I can’t wait to show you which print we chose!
You can choose between three material types for your design: smooth, canvas, and fabric. A lot of peel and stick wallpapers need to be installed on completely smooth walls, but the “smooth” material can be used for semi-textured walls! The shops also note that their peel and stick wallpaper is thicker than most brands, which makes installation easier.
ScandinavianWorkshop currently has over 500 designs to choose from, ranging from simple linework to flashy art in every colorway possible. I’m obsessed with the neon pastel palette for this design! Don’t worry if you’re in between options—they have small and large samples if you want to see how they look on your wall first.
Speaking of Etsy, the Betapet Botanical Greenery Peel and Stick Wallpaper has nearly 500 reviews with a 4+ star average.
Burke Decor has everything from furniture to kitchenware but their peel and stick wallpaper section is totally worth a look. I really like their selection of folk art-inspired patterns and I think this one would really liven up a living room. Joanna Gaines even has her own Magnolia Home collab collection with them, if you’re an HGTV fangirl. (This olive branch peel and stick is my fav from the collection!)
Peel and stick wallpapers are also a great cost-efficient way to mimic textured walls without the commitment! This one was inspired by Manila hemp fibers and looks extra luxurious.
I bet removable wallpaper isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think about West Elm, but their flexible vinyl film wallpaper perfectly fits the timeless energy of their furniture and home decor designs.
They have some awesome textured designs that look super realistic. This grasscloth design is another example of how a textured wallpaper can totally transform the look and feel of a room. I know abstract prints aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I think this raceway-inspired design would have trouble disappointing anyone. It has a great modern look but nothing too crazy!

The Target peel and stick wallpaper selection even includes collections by Target-exclusive brands like Opalhouse and Threshold.
I love this sweet lemon print in their Opalhouse collection—how perfect would it be in a retro/vintage-themed kitchen? This off-white brick-texture design from the Threshold line would also make an easy backsplash. You can also buy the Joanna Gaines Olive Branch via the Magnolia Home collection!
You’ll find a Lowe’s peel and stick wallpaper option fit for every aesthetic! I love how specific their filters are; you can narrow down options not only by color or price, but also by finish and what rooms they’re best used in. Most of the designs are printed on vinyl and should only be installed on smooth, flat surfaces for the best results.

Textured walls are a big hindrance for most peel and stick wallpapers! Especially if you’re a renter, it’s annoying and sometimes impossible (not to mention time-consuming) to get perfectly smooth walls.
If your textured walls are bumming you out, you need to check out Wallblush! Their designs work with lightly-textured walls, so they’re extra renter-friendly. They have a perfect blend of soft, feminine designs and bold art. I love that a lot of their options are scaled larger since a lot of wallpaper designs can look really repetitive, especially when used in bigger areas.
This one has a unique hand painted look with a lot of brushstroke detail. I think it’d be gorgeous in a bedroom!
Hygge & West are wallpaper pros! The company was founded in 2008 with the sole purpose of creating and selling beautiful, accessible wallpaper. They’ve even collaborated with companies like Schoolhouse, Rifle Paper Co., and CB2. To this day, they print all of their wallpapers on American-made paper and emphasize a high standard of quality.
They don’t have as large of a selection as some other companies, but I love all of the designs. The daydream print is so sweet and comes in just about every colorway you can imagine. (It’s shown here in “Juniper.”)
Here’s a tip: if you sign up for their email program you can score 3 free wallpaper samples!

If you’re having trouble deciding which design to go with or just want some inspo, their inspiration page has awesome examples of real-life customers and how they used their Moose Accents peel and stick wallpapers.Love vs. Design is the sister company of a Utah-based custom stationery brand, so you know their designs are top-notch. They have hundreds of beautiful patterns and murals you won’t find anywhere else, with extensive color customization options for whichever design you choose.
Their peel and stick wallpaper comes in two materials: a woven polyester fabric and a smooth semi-matte vinyl. (The smooth is more affordable, priced at $3.75 per square foot vs. $6.50 for the woven material.) Both can be used on most textured walls, but it’s best to order a sample first to make sure the design works well with any walls that aren’t completely smooth.
By extensive customization options, I mean extensive! I was drawn to this cute strawberry design and realized you can customize the colors of everything—the berries, background, leaves, stems, even the strawberry SEEDS. For the level of customization, Love vs. Design’s selection is definitely the best wallpaper for those looking for something extra special.
