If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, you know that this past weekend Robin and I were in Seattle! Back in October I had a sudden urge to book a winter trip somewhere (this no snow thing in San Francisco is great but I’m having a hard time keeping track of seasons… no joke!). One night I pulled up a Google search of cheap flights out of SFO and we booked a winter trip to explore Seattle. BOOM.
Armed with umbrellas and rain boots, we explored Seattle throughly and I must say it’s one of my favorite West Coast cities so far.
We caught a 7am flight out of SFO and landed in Seattle around 9am, making downtown to Hotel Max before 11am. Because I packed light and wore my Friday outfit on the plane, I wanted something comfy yet chic to tot around in. This stripped top from thredUP fitted the bill perfectly. The pattern is so fun and matched my red rain boots (always a plus!) For those of you who aren’t familiar with thredUP, it’s an online consignment shop. They only take the best of the best and you can find some real fashion gems there. ( This top was from Forever21 and I also picked up a jumpsuit that will be featured next week!) I loved how this top is that great mix of casual and dressed up. Was perfect to wear while touring around the city AND out the dinner and drinks that evening.

(because thredUP is consignment, no two pieces are the same and I can’t link this top. Instead I linked other tops I love from their shop!)
After we landed, we were VERY hungry and made a beeline to this amazing pizza place called Serious Pie. Afterwards we visited the Space Needle (more photos on that soon!) and checked out every floor at Pike Place Market. I loved the variety of shops there – from coffee to seafood to artisans, Pike Place has everything that makes me happy. I picked some some prints to hang in our apartment and on the last day we brought home a fresh pound of smoked salmon.
That evening we hit up our hotel’s free happy hour for some craft beer. Yes, you read that right. Hotel Max offers free local beer each night. We were in heaven with some local brew by Pike Place Brewery from down the street. Afterwards we headed to Capitol Hill to Nate’s Wings and Waffles (Robin really wanted to go here because “Nate” is some famous basketball player who started this place). The wings and waffles were very good, but I fell in love with their Mac n Cheese. Some of the best I’ve ever had!! Next up was bar hopping in Capitol Hill before sleeping soooo hard (we did get up at 3am, after all). More Seattle photos and travel tips coming soon!!
