Santa Monica Beach

Santa Monica Pier - Beach2Ocean - WhimsySoul

While in Santa Monica, we spent a good amount of time on the beach next to Santa Monica Pier. After a long work week, all I wanted was a few hours on hot sand! Santa Monica Beach is a great little spot because it has tons of volleyball courts, the bike path running along it connecting to Venice and a bunch of cute shops along the base of the pier.

A girl I worked with told me that San Francisco doesn’t have “real beaches” and now I totally know what she means. While I love Baker Beach here in the city, there’s nothing like the huge, clean beaches in Southern California with all the bright colors.

Speaking of bright colors, this Beach2Ocean swimsuit is probably my most favorite swimsuit to date!!! For starters, I really love the POP of orange – swimsuits are a great chance for you to branch out and wear colors you normally wouldn’t with your street clothes and Beach2Ocean has tons of suits that offer the chance. I picked this one from their Carmen Marc Valvo line because the color caught my eye, but also because of the awesome mesh cut-outs.

As I’ve talked about here and here, it’s really hard to swimsuit shop when you’ve got curves! Every body is beautiful and you should wear what ever you want, but I also think it’s important to feel comfortable at a beach, a place where many women feel exposed (literally).

I’ve always just felt a little more comfortable in one piece suits, but they usually lack that fun and/or sexy factor I’m always looking for with a swimsuit.  But the mesh cut-outs of this suit totally add on the subtle sexy factor while keeping it all in. Yeah know what I mean? Most of the Beach2Ocean suits also come with a corresponding cover-up. I was really, really tempted to just wear the cover up all day since it was so comfy!

If you’re hunting for a good swimsuit for your tropical holiday and winter trips, I highly recommend checking out Beach2Ocean. They have tons of suits for every body (from small to large to plus size!) AND they’ve just launched a brand new site! So go check it out!

You’ve definitely found a great swimsuit to compliment and accentuate your curves! The color is a great and fun choice and brings out your playful personality.
