As a crazy cat lady, I think I squealed with delight when I found this Black Cat candle. And another squeal when I learned $2 of every sale is donated to Kitten Rescue in LA (if only every sale came with an actual kitten… Twyla would probably murder me if I brought one home though.)
For now, the Midnight Candle by Fragrant Jewels is the closest thing I’ll get to a second cat for the moment.
We get it -October and pumpkin candles will always go hand in hand. But each year when I’m hunting for the perfect October Candle Of The Month pick, I challenge myself to find something not so cliche.
And I found it for you guys with The Midnight Candle! It smells like fresh basil, neroli, and white musk. While basil probably doesn’t sound like a fall scent, TRUST ME, this combo hits the spot for all the fall vibes you’re looking for.
The throw is really strong on this one, we can usually smell the next room over. It’s also cruelty-free, Phthalate-free, gluten free and paraben-free. The site doesn’t disclose the burn time but I’ve been burning my cat candle for at least a week now every day and I’ve barely made a dent in her, so I think it’s going to last me all October.
Oh, and this candle comes with a piece of jewelry! Kind of like cereal boxes had a toy at the bottom of it, this candle has a cat ring at the bottom for an extra little bonus. I haven’t burned my down to see it yet but I believe there’s a few different style options so I’m pumped to see what one I end up with.
On top of having a cute container that I totally plan on upcycling to be a plant pot in the future, $2 of every sale goes to Kitten Rescue! Based in LA, Kitten Rescue is a nonprofit dedicated to recusing and adopting out homeless kittens. They’re able to place about 1,000 kittens in new homes every year and buying a Midnight Candle helps support their mission. We love a good Pay It Forward.
You’ll adore this candle for October and if you want more ideas, check out my October Candle Of The Month pick from last year (it’s still in stock!) This one also isn’t pumpkin but instead smells exactly like a fall day.
See you next month for my November pick — it’s a good one!
