I’ve been hearing whispers about Burrow couches for a while now. A friend will causally mention how much they loved sitting on another friend’s Burrow sofa, or I’ll see someone on TikTok get a new Burrow outdoor sectional for their yard.
When it was time to fill our Whimsy Homes cabin with furniture, I headed to Burrow to get the 411 and was instantly sold on their modern modular design, simple assembly and beautiful style. Oh, and how they didn’t just make couches but also offered cofffee tables and bedframes so I could make sure everything in the cabin flowed and matched well.
But, this post is all about my Relay & Range Burrow couch reviews after 30 days of sitting!
A Modular Sectional To Fit Any Space
It’s a little hard to tell from photos but the cabin living room is a bit wonky space-wise. The main bedroom and bathroom are tucked back behind the living room which means we couldn’t just put any ole’ sectional in there.

Burrow Couch Review: Indoor & Outdoor
Most corner sectionals are literally too big! We had to keep the couch under 92 inches wide and under 123 inches long. I also wanted to make sure the couch was in a green color, could sit at least 6 people and was sturdy enough to last a while (they, this is a vacation rental cabin after all and I didn’t want to have to replace this couch in a year!)
So, my intense googling brought me to Burrow’s Range 6-Piece Sectional sofa in Moss Green. I chose walnut legs to match the walnut TV console I had bought to keep it cohesive.
What’s cool about Burrow sectionals is their modular feature. You can assemble them in a variety of layouts to fit your space perfectly.
We went with an asymmetrical layout with a short and longer side, though if we ever change our minds in the future, we can easily detach a section of the couch to rearrange it, or even add more modules in the future. It really is that easy.
For the outdoor couch we went with the Relay Outdoor 6-Piece Armless Sectional, Chair, & Coffee Table Set in white. Just like Burrow’s indoor sofas, it’s modular so we could get it to fit the corner of our deck perfectly.
Assembling Burrow Couches Is Insanely Easy
I know you are like me and have been burned by that Scandi company where it felt like you were reading caveman drawings and also had to answer riddles from a Sypnx just to understand how to assemble your couch. Or table, or dresser.
Yeah, Burrow is the complete opposite of that. I almost want to say they make putting together furniture idiot-proof.
Everything comes in cute branded boxes that contain detailed instructions with drawings and directions. They also send all the hardware needed. The only tools required is a flat-head screwdriver to help get the screws in.
The part I was really stoked about, though, is their labeling system. They have A and B stickers that are COLOR CODED (hyperventilating) so. you know exactly which end of the seat to stick to what board. Genius.
Putting together your new sofa will be easier with another person and will probably take a couple of hours, depending on your model.
On that note, we did not get the Burrow Nomad Sofa which comes with a built in USB port so I can’t attest to how that experience of installation is. But you just simply plug it into a nearby outlet so it looks easy!
30 Days Of Burrow Range Couch Review
My first impression of our Moss green Burrow Range Sofa was “she’s so pretty!” It has a vague mid-century modern look to it as the back is a little lower than a lot of couches.
We had decided to really lean into green for the cabin living room decor with green walls and a green floor (yes, for real), and to keep the visuals consistent, I put a green couch in there, too.
and, I love it. The couch looks perfect in the space and based on other customer photos I’ve seen online, I think this Moss color looks wonderful in all sorts of living areas.
Burrow Range Is Firm But Not Too Firm
Ok, enough about the looks. How does it feel? Our previous couches in the cabin (left over from the previous owners) were clunky and large. They had very plush cushions that you would just sink into but a little too much.
I always had to stuff at least two to three throw pillows behind my back for lumbar support on those. So, the first time I sat on our Range sectional I was like “thank GOODNESS this is so much better!”
We are getting throws pillow for it, since I’m a comfy queen and love snuggly options, but you really don’t need them with this couch.
Cat Proof Fabric
The real test, though, was our cat, Twyla. The little stinker refuses to use scratching posts and instead thinks rugs and the side of couches are like, THE elite location to flex her claws.
We have been keeping the couch covered with blankets but she’s been able to sneak her way around them many times and I’m thrilled that the fabric is holding up super well. I love our little green velvet couch in our apartment but MAN, she sunk her claws into that and you could tell right away.
Thankfully the Burrow Range has tight olefin weave fabric that is durable against claws and is also stain resistant!

Burrow Range Sofa Review – Final Verdict
It’s awesome. I love the low backs for a mid-century modern look, the lumbar support, a durable fabric that can withstand kitty claws and also stains.
Hey, this is a vacation rental after all and I fully expect folks to be popping bottles from one of the many fantastic local wineries in Calaveras County.
30 Days Of Burrow’s Outdoor Relay Couch
For our deck, we got Burrow’s Outdoor Raley Couch set in white! The large deck overlooking nothing but trees was a huge reason we bought this cabin in the first place, so I wanted to make sure we had a great outdoor space for guests.

Relay Sofa Is Easy To Put Together & Take Down
Here’s the thing – our couch arrived during a heatwave (mid 90’s every day yikes!) and I was NOT looking forward to putting together our Burrow sofa in the heat.
We waited until the evening and took a few AC breaks but we were able to get it unpacked and assembled in under an hour. I was SHOCKED.
I would say the Burrow credenza is by far the easiest piece of furniture from their collection to assemble (since it comes mostly put together) but the Raley couch is an easy second place.
This is on purpose since they designed it to be quickly taken apart for winter storage. And, no wood parts here that rot over time!
Heavy Duty Fabric To Withstand The Seasons
Burrow doesn’t skim on their materials. The Relay couch is used with durable stain-repellant fabric that is easy to clean and has porous cushions engineered to avoid water retention, helping it dry faster.
It’s also very sturdy against animal claws. My cat pretty much immediately tried to use our outdoor couch as a scratching post when we got it set up and it fabric didn’t rip at all!
Relay Outdoor Burrow Sofa Review – Final Verdict
I was nervous about the white fabric, I’m not going to lie! Especially since we’re in the mountains with tons of pine trees on the property and every May the entire town gets covered in a layer of bright yellow pollen. What if it stains?
But after spilling a glass of wine on the couch and having it easily wiped away, my fears are totally gone. I have full confidence this will last many years and many seasons.
I also really love the couch cover you can get, since we will be keeping the couch outside even in the wintertime.
Plus, it’s SO easy to put together! A huge win.

Things I Don’t Like About Burrow
Hey – it wouldn’t be a proper Saw It On Social review if we didn’t talk about the negatives! Thankfully, there isn’t too much to report here.
The only thing that could use improvement with my Burrow couch is that aren’t more fabric options for their indoor couches. I really hope to see Burrow expand their colors in the future because then they would be untouchable.
(Is it just me or would a pink couch be so dang dreamy?!)
It’s important to note that the Nomad sofa does offer a few more varieties than the Range which we got. There’s the Nomad Velvet, regular fabric and leather and it also has more leg varieties than the Range.
The other downside? Everything comes in a lot of boxes so be prepared for a lot of recycling.

Where is Burrow furniture made?
Burrow items are designed in the USA with manufacturing centers reportedly located in North Carolina, Vietnam, Poland, and India. I believe all the pieces I’ve ordered from Burrow have a little “Made in Poland” stamp on them.
Can You Sleep On A Burrow Couch
I haven’t tried yet, but one of my besties literally falls asleep on every couch she sits on, so I fully expect her to crash on our Range whenever she visits next. And I feel confident she’ll sleep well since it’s comfortable.
That being said, Burrow offers sleep kits designed for each sofa model. They consist of a memory foam topper and sheet and blanket set to fit it, along with a sleep mask. This is such a smart idea for folks like me who live full time in a tiny apartment.
Guests usually crash on our (large) love seat couch and I would love to be able to set them up with something like a sleeper kit!!

Do you have a Burrow leather sofa review?
We don’t! But if that changes in the future we’ll update this. That being said, the Leather Nomad King Sofa has over 2000 reviews right now and 4.5 rating.
The review comment that really stood out to me was “Our cats haven’t been able to damage it from scratching” which is what I would worry about with a leather couch. Sounds like they built a great product!
Are there any Burrow assembly problems?
We didn’t have any issues putting together our Burrow couch! That being said, one of the nightstands we got from Burrow had a manufacturing error and a small (but needed) part was missing.
I sent an email off to Burrow’s customer support and they answered within an hour. So, if anything does come up while you are assembling your new couch, you aren’t alone. Customer service is always there.
