I’m a self declared plant slut. I love living in a city, but after growing up in the country on 16 acres of forest, I’m the most comfortable surrounded by green. We picked up some plants when we first moved into our San Francisco studio, but I’ve been dying to add more plant babies to our home.
This past weekend Robin and I paid a visit to Clement Nursery in the Richmond District – man, this place is a plant slut’s dream! It’s the size of a normal San Francisco lot, but is somehow jammed packed with plants. It was like a treasure hunt to find your perfect plant and thank goodness Robin was there otherwise I would have spent the whole afternoon debating which ones to get.

I have a shelf in our living room that holds most of our plants, but the bottom one is empty, so we were searching for some smaller plants to go there. I was also on the hunt for a couple of nice larger ones to fill some fun pots I found on the side of the road one day (not gross at all – you can find really good items on the curb!)
It was raining that day off and on, so everything in the greenhouse smelled earthy and wonderful. For this casual day of errands, I threw on my new Boohoo leggings because I was NOT in the mood for real pants, a comfy quilted sweater, flats and my favorite coat for a punch of fun. To be 100% honest with you, my lazy level was so high that day that I forgot to put on a bra before leaving the house. Opps.
We ended up bringing home some flowers, succulents and larger plants which my cat, of course, LOVE to nibble on. I’m pretty sure he thinks we brought them home just for him. I personally love how much greener my home is. Plants fill a place in our homes that nothing else can.

Your photos are gorgeous! I definitely love plants too. I live in a city where there’s not a lot of green so I loaded my apartment up with plants – and they definitely keep me grounded. That nursery looks like a dream, too.
Yes! You have to have a plant-filled apartment in cities, I agree!
