The famous Outerlands Cafe is tucked away in the Outer Sunset and is a spot I haven’t stopped hearing about since I moved to San Francisco. Finally, 1.5 years later, we finally dedicated a morning to grab brunch at Outerlands Cafe.
So, brunch in San Francisco is much like an extreme sport. You have to be dedicated to your mission. You have to be ok standing in line for hours, most likely in chilly fog but sometimes in hot sun (like today). Comfy shoes are a must, so is a comfy outfit. I opted for comfy-chic in my new top + bottom set from Le Chateau. I instantly fell in love with this fun pattern that works well year-round. The pants are soft and feel a tad like pjs, but look put together. The perfect uniform for waiting out brunch.
We quickly learned that the key to snagging a table at Outerlands is getting there early to get your name on the list. They open at 9am and don’t seat everyone at once. We waited about 45 minutes and I was so happy to be wearing this top + bottom set (I was still waking up after all!) We ordered the Eggs in Jail and the savory Dutch Pancake. Both cooked to perfection and utterly unique. My favorite thing we ordered? The ginger lemon apple cider – liquid crack is the best way I can describe this drink. I will gladly stand in line for 45 minutes again just to drink this.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Le Chateau, they’re a fun online store from Canada. They’re my go-to spot lately to find fun prints and unique items like this outfit. They also have a great assortment of formal dresses, perfect to check out if you have summer weddings to attend!
