I have a thing for bows. In the hair, on my socks and best of all: on my dresses!
I just love how a good bow can take a simple dress like this red one and totally spice it up to something extra interesting. It makes the perfect dress for Valentine’s Day coming up in a few weeks!
A younger Kara would probably get dazzled up in a tight, flashy dress for Valentine’s Day date night but these days, I love simple yet elegant (and most importantly, comfy!) dresses for date night.
Why? Because I love to eat all the steak and drink all the wine and flowy dress like this one is just the ticket for the best date night ever!
I styled this red dress with a bow with red Calvin Klein heels, which are surprisingly comfy. And, because this is a Valentines’ Day outfit after all, I grabbed my white heart purse to lean into the cheesiness.
Funny story about this house. Robina and I have a really bad habit of shooting in front of houses and then almost IMMEDIATELY, the owner will come home, or open the garage door. It’s like some sort of curse.
There was a pink house two houses down from here that we almost shot in front of… but of course, 10 seconds after Robin pulled out the camera, the owner walked up and went in. So we moved over but yes, it’s always awkward.
Anyways, here’s my outfit! The purse is old so I found a similar one instead. Here’s to slaying your date night look (or Galentine’s Day outfit!)

You just have a gorgeous dress! You look like a beautifully wrapped gift with a bow for St. Valentine’s Day. I love red color, especially dresses in the same style, like yours. You are right, it is really perfect for this holiday. I have been looking for something like this for a long time, but I wanted to buy such a dress before Christmas, but unfortunately, I could not find anything like it. Perhaps you can help me and tell me where did you find it? I would be very grateful to you, because I would also like to surprise my husband on St. Valentine’s Day with such a “gift”))
I’ve linked the dress multiple times in this post for readers 🙂
