Robin and I just got back from a crazy whirlwind trip to Joshua Tree, Palm Springs AND Oceanside! I got so many questions about this yellow dress that I knew I had to pop it into a blog post for you guys. I bought this dress on a whim from Shein and was really surprised to love it so much. This shade of yellow is my favorite color and I didn’t plan on wearing it almost every day on this trip, but I just couldn’t stay away! Something about Joshua Tree and Palm Springs just calls for a fun pop of color when visiting.
I spoke at Alt Summit this year, which was a huge honor! I loved attending Alt last year and it felt so nice to give back and help other women navigate their businesses. Last year I went down to Palm Springs with my friend Gen and we had such a great time exploring the city together, but this time around, Robin is working with me full time and we wanted to travel down together. So, we booked an Airbnb in Joshua Tree which we used as a home base for the first part of the week.
From seeing the SuperBloom in Joshua Tree National Park to finally stopping by the famous Lemonade Stand at the Parker Palm Springs Hotel, this dress was my favorite thing I packed. I will note that the quality is just ok – it is from Shein, after all! There are some loose threads and I am worried a button will fall off soon, but hey, it was like $12 on a flash sale and makes a really great fast fashion piece for this year’s warm weather vacations. I’m a big believer in investment pieces BUT sometimes a gal just needs a for-fun piece that makes her trips a little more whimsical.
