Aries: Red
March 21-April 19
Passionate and courageous, an Aries is always on the hunt for a new adventure. You take life by the horns, but still love to venture back to the cozy places you know and love. Red was the first era during which Taylor made the leap into pop music after years of sticking to country, but that doesn’t mean that she lost her roots completely. She walks a line between her past and future, continuing to excite people.
Red is a warm hug for the soul, especially the Aries-coded song “Begin Again.” Whether you’re looking to start fresh in a new relationship or make the move to somewhere you’ve always wanted to live, new beginnings are rejuvenating for the Aries spirit.
This puff sleeve crop top from Urban Outfitters has a corset frame and a fiery color. Pair it with this micro mini skirt for something extra bold and flirty.
Taurus: The Tortured Poets Department
April 20-May 20
TTPD is Taylor’s newest album, and it’s already taking the world by storm. A Taurus is gentle-spirited and down to earth, much like this Taylor era that we can already see developing. Taylor is becoming more unapologetically herself, unafraid to tackle the honest difficulties she faced during years in the public eye.
This new era definitely has Evermore vibes but with a bit more classic, expensive charm. I’ve personally been loving the new song “Cassandra,” and I think it definitely fits with Taurus. Complex and decadent, I could almost picture Taylor writing the lyrics to this one with a quill and ink on hundred-year-old parchment.
This black satin slip dress from Urban Outfitters is super Taurus – comfy and springy but without sacrificing looking luxurious.
Gemini: Fearless
May 21-June 21
When it comes to Fearless, all signs point to Gemini. It took maybe two seconds for me to make the connection between the effervescent Gemini and this iconic TS album. So many of us were raised on this one, singing along to “You Belong With Me” in our bedroom mirror using a hairbrush as a microphone. It’s such a sweet and fun song, and definitely one that screams Gemini almost as loudly as I screamed the lyrics to every track on this album when it came out.
This mini dress from Urban Outfitters is super multifaceted, with a pastel green gingham print and little rosebuds lined up the straps. The silhouette is also really surprising and fun. Or you can go with the classic Fearless fringe mini dress– perfect for any Taylor Swift concert.
Cancer: Evermore
June 22-July 22
Evermore feels like your mom greeting you when you get home from school, and I can hardly think of a more comforting vibe. There’s something so vulnerable about the Evermore era, and I’ve loved seeing Taylor become so personal with her lyricism. Taylor is known for her heartfelt breakup ballads, but “Champagne Problems” is such a sensitive and heartfelt take on her typical love song. I know I’ve spent an evening or two getting in my feels to this one. It’s mature and intuitive, just like Cancer.
This willow maxi dress from Free People takes coastal grandma and makes it funky and modern. It’s light, airy, and has the most adorable print.
Leo: Lover
July 23-August 22
Lover is definitely Taylor’s brightest and most colorful era, even if it was a little short-lived (sadly). Leos embody everything I love about summer: vibrant outfits, fearless self-expression, and of course, self-love! It immediately makes me think of “You Need to Calm Down,” which celebrates the flamboyant and exciting in all of us. It’s bold, fun, and makes a statement!
Speaking of making a statement, this gold sequin dress from Urban Outfitters paired with some black boots is absolutely perfect for the Eras Tour, or just to have in your closet for a New Year’s Eve Party. If you want major Lover vibes, you can’t go wrong with the Selkie Rainbow Puff Dress. I swear it looks like it was inspired by the Leo-Lover lovechild.
Virgo: Folklore
August-September 22
Folklore is one of my personal favorite eras because it feels like prancing through the forest in a floaty linen dress. The forest may seem like an unassuming place to find magic, but Virgo always knows how to see the divine in the simplest things. The transition from summer to fall brings with it the excitement of a new, cooler season, but also usually a bit of melancholy. This era, and Virgo, know how to tackle all of it at once.
This funky vest and short set from Urban Outfitters is polished and soft at the same time. It’s great for those late summer vibes when you can see the leaves just barely starting to turn colors.
Libra: Speak Now
September 23-October 23
My Swiftie best friend is a proud Libra, and she always has a Speak Now on the stereo during a road trip or a little jaunt to Starbucks! I actually asked her which song from the album she feels best describes her zodiac (she’s also a big astrology girlie), and she did not even hesitate before saying “Dear John.” The search for genuine connection while also staying true to yourself is a challenge many of us face, but this song reminds us that we are our first, and forever, true loves. Taylor gives us a classy response to an unfortunate romantic situation, in true Libra fashion.
This embroidered fit and flare dress from Nordstrom is elegant and luxurious, just like Libra. It’s perfect for dressy, classic events but is also stylish for a simple night out.
Scorpio: Reputation
October 24-November 21
As “Look What You Made Me Do” tells us, the old Taylor is dead, and a fierce musical powerhouse has come to take her place. Scorpio is associated with death and rebirth, making it the perfect match for this unexpected era. Dramatic and sensual, Reputation was the biggest surprise to date for many Taylor fans who never expected her to take the plunge into the heavier, more electro side of pop. The dark, bold vibes definitely fit with Scorpio’s personality traits.
This exquisite vampy dress from Amazon brings the drama, which could not be more perfect for Scorpio. From the Eras Tour to the masquerade ball, you’ll be prepared to own the room.
Sagittarius: Taylor Swift (Debut Album)
November 22-December 21
Who doesn’t love the classics? Sagittarius is all about learning and exploration, which is exactly what Taylor was undertaking with her first-ever album in a massively successful career. She has reinvented herself time and again, embarking on the adventure of womanhood under the watchful eye of stardom.
“Should’ve Said No” really encapsulates all of these feelings, since it features a young Taylor coming to grips with the fact that adult relationships are difficult and leads her to state sometimes leave a scar. Even so, she presses on in search of someone who will love her the way she deserves!
This blue ruffle dress from Nordstrom Rack is funky and down-to-earth but would still look stunning in a party setting. It’s one of those perfect pieces to either dress up or dress down.
Capricorn: All Too Well (10-Minute Version)
December 22-January 19
Ok, so this obviously isn’t an album, but you could make the argument that the euphoric ten-minute version of “All Too Well” is so iconic that it practically is an era all its own. Capricorns are grounded and steadfast, and I think this song (and amazing music video!) aligns so well with that.
Not only did Taylor re-release “All Too Well” to ensure she reserved the rights to her own music, but she blessed us with this retrospection on a past relationship now as an older and wiser woman. What could possibly be more Capricorn?
Banana Republic is a haven for all the buttoned-up Capricorns of the world (I know from experience!), and what would be more fun to wear to the Eras Tour than a blazer-short combo? This viscose-linen blazer is classic but still unexpected, and it would go great with these cream cotton shorts. For a more feminine look, there are similar skirts on the website too.
Aquarius: 1989
January 20-February 18
I remember putting 1989 on shuffle when it first came out, and I was floored by how upbeat, techno, and downright danceable it was. Aquarius is rebellious and unexpected, with an added touch of social justice flair (Because you can want who you want, boys and boys and girls and girls!). Yes, “Welcome to New York” is the Aquarius anthem. It’s a brave and interesting opener to one of Taylor’s most fun and impactful albums.
This pink and white sequin mini dress from Urban Outfitters is show-stopping, not unlike Aquarius. You can even pair it with matching gloves for an even more outlandish look! Add a fringe and bold eye, and you’re ready for a concert with your 1989 inspired outfit that will never go out out of style.
Pisces: Midnights
February 19-March 20
Midnights is super dreamy and, no irony intended, feels like a little trip up to the stars. This is Pisces to a T, when winter is turning into spring and the world seems to be filled with a little extra magic. We all know that “Anti-Hero” was the heavy hitter on the radio, but “Snow on the Beach” was a masterpiece, and I think the perfect match for Pisces. Nothing makes Taylor songs dreamier than when she adds a hint of Lana Del Rey, the queen of sultry. “Lavender Haze” was a close second, am ambience all its own.
This turquoise midi dress from Anthropologie is flowy, romantic, and has uber Midnights vibes. Like a water goddess coming out of the ocean to rejuvenate on the seaside – and then the spa, of course!
I’ve seen so many Eras Tour outfits trying to recapture that gorgeous Getty photo of Taylor in the sparkling purple and silver leotard, and they look absolutely stunning! If you want to make your Eras Tour outfit a little more personal, I hope this guide helped you find your perfect outfit for a concert setting but also just for everyday! The best outfits are ones you can repeat for occasions to come.
