28 Grant Street Candles probably have some of the coolest, most unique jars we've seen in a while. These are small-batch soy candles poured in Baltimore. Scents are inspired by nature and travel and totally unique (think Wild Blackberry + Absinthe or Tonka + Oud) They're made with braided cotton wicks, and scented essential oils with burn times up to 120 hours! Long burn times = awesome day scents for your WFH set up.

I LOVE this Black-owned candle company. I have their Azúcar candle and it instantly fills my living room with the scents of honey, clove and sugar. It makes my home smell FANCY ya'll and the black jar matches my home decor well. Best part is these candles are all hand made and have a burn time of up to 110 hours!! (that's some superhero wax blend!)

Harlem Candle Company is all about luxury candles (and tons of other good smelling things for your home like diffusers, room sprays, etc) These 12oz candles have a burn time of 80 hours (whoa!) and they have so many awesome scents like Speakeasy (think notes of tobacco leaves, Bourbon, Pimento berry and Saffron) They can write a gift message on your order, too! They're one of the top Black owned candle companies in the US.

Sun Moon Rising is all about helping people tap in with their higher selves, and to inspire them to enjoy the present moment through acts of self-care⁣ and scent (yass that's the kind of businesses we stan!) Her handcrafted vegan natural soy wax and coconut wax blend candles come in amazing grounding scents (cedar, lavender, etc.) These wood wicks burn for about 40 hours.

KéNisha Ruff, founder of Marie Hunter, got her start in my hometown of Madison , Wisconsin. She started off in cosmetology before launching her own beauty brand which includes some delicious smelling candles. Leather & Suede is their signature candle and has notes of warm wood, amber and spices. (Would make a great winter scent for your home!!) It's vegan, creutly free and uses soy wax. Burn time up to 90 hours.

This company makes candles based right out of Wisconsin (my home state!) Rooted in non-toxic materials, Copper Wings Candles sells not just candles but also wax melts! I love to use wax melts during the holidays around my Christmas tree because I adore those vibey smells, but don't trust myself around a burning flame and holiday wine. I love that she offers candles made for wax melts!

OhChanMade is a small black candle brand based out of London. They make the coolest candles shaped like people, including this awesome candle featuring a woman with natural hair, along with body figures and other shapes. They love to use materials like tin foil to add a little extra glam. I know it's good candle care to actually burn but I think these are too pretty to actually burn! They make great home decor in your apartment.
