After we checked into the Four Seasons Palo Alto, my husband stood next to the window for a good 5 minutes as I unpacked, just staring at the view of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The floor to ceiling windows in each of the rooms are commanding, in the best kind of way. In an area of the country so focused on tech, it’s refreshing to find a place that makes you feel like you’re in the trees.
Type: Luxury Resort
Good For: Business
This is our first time at a Four Seasons. We’ve been all over the world but haven’t yet stayed at this famous hotel brand family. On a foggy San Francisco day, we drove the quick 25 minutes South to sunny Palo Alto to spend the night to help celebrate the Four Season’s Riviera by Quattro pop-up. A night in “Italy” without the flight!
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Four Seasons Palo Alto is steps away from business meetings at tech giants, the beautiful campus of Standford, a train ride away from the SAP Center and even close to vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Quattro, the Four Seasons’ on-site restaurant, is always known for fantastic food but this summer, they are throwing a special pop-up experience called “Riviera by Quattro”. If you’re craving a trip to Italy, find all the Cinque Terra vibes right here, complete with limoncello-based cocktails, tasty flatbreads, homemade ice cream (with olive oil drizzle!) and more.

In the morning after the event, I loved slowly waking up to GMA, in-room coffee and some time to catch up on emails in that cozy Four Seasons bed. Seriously, they have some of the best beds we’ve experienced in any hotel. (So soft!) We grabbed some breakfast sandwiches downstairs before packing up and heading out for the day.
Ciao, Four Seasons.
