A while back my favorite pair of high waisted blue jeans FINALLY saw their last days (and in a pretty embarrassing moment where they ripped in the back while I was out walking and I had NO IDEA.)
I’m super picky when it comes to jeans. As a curvy gal, jeans have always low-key been the bane of my existence. It’s just so hard to find a pair that fits properly (aka no pinching but still hugs my hips as jeans should.) But also finding them in a good wash – I love that classic blue jean look (not too dark, not too light, etc.)
Enter: these jeans.
This past week tons of clothing stores were having massive sales, including Old Navy. I snapped these jeans up for just $20! SCORE! This pretty white sweater was also on sale – I adore the frills on the sleeves to bring it from basic to intriguing. (It’s still on sale and comes in 5 colors!)
Normally I got for big, bold pops of color in outfits and would style this look with statement earrings or a headscarf, but lately, I’ve been more drawn to dainty jewelry. I’ve been wearing this gold layering necklace set and gold earrings on repeat for weeks and just bought a new gold star bracelet from the same company.
It pairs perfectly with this look!
On top of trying out a whole new outfit, I’ve been using my quarantine time to dig into hair products for my Saw It On Social Series. Some hair styling prodcuts totally fail and make my hair greasy or sticky, but hey, it doesn’t matter in lockdown, I’m not going anywhere! But there are some standouts.
But there are some standouts on the list. I’ve been using Davines MOMO in the shower, which is perfect for dry hair (which I totally have right now, probably from trying out so many hair products! Just part of the job most people don’t see from bloggers.)
This R&Co volume foam is handy to use when my hair is damp for a roots lift. When my hair is dry, I’ll add in some Waterless Dry Conditioner for an extra moisture boost and some Playa Endless Summer Spray which helps to boost my natural waves and curls.
These all come together to make a super relaxed, beachy hairstyle that looks perfect on this classic blue jeans and white sweater outfit. Now, if only I had somewhere to wear this outfit to… soon!
