Years ago on my first visit to Scottsdale, I was super pleased to discover this desert city is a major hot spot for foodies like myself.
Of course you can find some dang good Mexican restaurants (there’s this avocado margarita I still daydream out weekly) and fun bars, but brunch is by far my favorite.
Please note that many of these places require advance reservations, especially if you have a large group for a Scottsdale bachelorette party or something!

SumoMaya is one of the best brunch spots I’ve been to in recent years. Located in North Scottsdale, SumoMaya fuses Mexican and Asian cuisine together, giving you a variety of options.

The extensive drink menu of course features sake plus Mexican and Asian inspired cocktails. With a rotating seasonal menu, you’re sure to find something new every time you visit. I tried and loved the edamame hummus, enchiladas, pink sushi, and the Chinese pineapple rice.
