Woot Woot, October 1st rolled around today and I’m so excited to share my October Candle of the Month with you!! It’s a good one and a bit “untraditional” of a fall scented candle but I know you’ll love it.
Come October (or er, starting in late August for me this year) I love to break out the pumpkin spice candles. Like, we all do right? Pumpkin = fall and while I usually burn pumpkin candles up until Halloween, I wanted to push myself to find a more unique candle to share this year. Why I Love Fvith’s October Candle For October Burning
First off, the name is perfect, obvi! I also swoon at the black candle jar with the chic, minimal label. The branding is on-point and looks super cute on my coffee table or styled next to pumpkins and fall home decor.
More importantly, the smell is amazing. It’s so very “fall” when you smell it even though there isn’t any hint of pumpkin spice. Top notes have saffron, blackberry and rum with mid notes of agarwood, leather, clary sage. The base notes are musk and patchouli.
The scent creeps up as you burn it, slowly filling the whole room. It makes me feel like we suddenly are transported to a cottage in Vermont during October. Maybe it just rained, the orange leaves are everywhere and the world smells like fall. I’m inside bundled in a cozy Fair Isle sweater and reading while sipping on a glass of red wine. This candle’s light is flickering against the cottage walls where herbs from the summer are hanging to dry. Robin is baking something in the other room…
Here’s the official description which I love: Decadence and exclusivity convene in October, our ode to oud. A musky base supports rum, berries and lush notes of agarwood, leather and sage. This candle makes the tomb walls talk, but don’t whisper back. Once you pledge by this society’s flame, you’re sworn to secrecy.
This soy candle burns for 55 hours which is great because I’ve taken a liking to burning candles during the day while I work from home and I hate when I blow through them in a few days!
