I always hate swimsuit shopping. It’s the worst- I swear all major retailers think all women are size 4 and under. Most of the time the suits I try on in stores seem to be designed without a curvy girl in mind. That’s why I was SO happy to find Swimsuitsforall.
Swimsuitsforall is a fantastic online swimsuit shop just for sizes 8 and up with an emphasis on plus-size ladies. Hear that? There’s a WHOLE STORE of suits JUST for curvy gals! Since I already got a one-piece this season (seen here), I picked out this awesome mid-waist bikini that has a slight nod to the 50’s. Bikinis are usually very unflattering on me since I carry a lot of my weight in my belly, so I love how this suit holds me all in! If you ever feel insecure at the beach or pool, I highly suggest getting a suit from these guys so you can feel as beautiful as you look! #GetIt. All women are beautiful but I know that it’s hard to feel beautiful when you don’t feel comfortable in what you’re wearing. Swimsuitsforall has so many great swimsuits that I was torn in which one to get, so I linked some of the others I was eyeing that I know would look great on ya!
Anyways, I thought this suit would look great with a hot, red lip so I applied my Stila red lipstick which is my new favorite lip color since it actually lasts for hours and hours (perfect for a beach day). It had been chilly and cloudy here in San Francisco during the week, so on Friday when we woke up to sun, Robin and I made a quick beeline to Baker’s Beach so we could soak up some sun before he headed to work that afternoon. Robin just finished up his summer classes and now he’s off for a few week before fall classes start. I forsee MANY beach days in the future 🙂
