August 2023 Astrological Transits

• New Moon in Leo with Venus Retrograde (August 16): This month’s new moon is in Leo, the sign of creativity and sovereign power, but it’s also happening very close to Venus retrograde. We are setting intentions here for standing in our boldest, most authentic self-expression in our relationships moving forward.
• Mercury Retrograde in Virgo (August 23 – September 15): Mercury will be retrograde in one of its home signs of Virgo this month and for the first half of September. We’re familiar with this energy as we had a Mercury retrograde here last fall as well, but be prepared for a slower pace of communication, some annoying details to fall through the cracks, and important lessons around saying what we mean.
• Mars enters Libra (August 27): At the end of the month, Mars enters Libra, one of the two signs that Venus rules. Mars and Venus are lovers but also at odds with one another at times, so expect some tension to arise in your most passionate relationships as we move towards fall.
