After seeing a lot of Pink Lily’s sequin outfits go viral last summer for the Eras Tour, I decided it was finally time to get my hands on the clothing brand and put it to the test.
If you’ve been reading Whimsy Soul for a while, you know that I love to try out clothing brands and give you the real tea on their quality, sizing (especially for curvy girls like me!), customer service, and order process.
Fall is my favorite season and I had a lot of trips in October, so I grabbed a few cute outfits to pack with me as I frolic around the foliage and bring you my honest Pink Lily review! Let’s go.
About Pink Lily Boutique
Tori Gerbig and her husband founded Pink Lily in 2014 as an online-only clothing boutique, though by 2017 they were so successful they opened a physical store in Bowling Green, Kentucky as well.
Pink Lily is known for trendy, feminine women’s clothes that slightly lean towards a Southern aesthetic. Think adorable dresses, jean shorts for summer, denim jackets for fall, themed sweatshirts for the holidays, and also some of the coolest sequin and party outfits for date night (or the Eras Tour!)
What started a small business quickly turned into an empire with multiple warehouse upgrades and millions of orders being shipped.
I found it hard to find Pink Lily Boutique reviews from fellow bloggers and influencers who were my size so I knew I had to test them out for you. Hence, this article!
What I Ordered From Pink Lily
In these reviews, I always try to order clothing items from multiple different categories to put them to the test. Since I was preparing for my New England trip (complete with a stop by Salem for Hocus Pocus things) I knew I wanted to test out some fall fashion items.

For the price, this is probably one of the best bodysuits I've ever tried. Pink Lily offers a lot of tops and blouses, along with bodysuits which seem to be their most iconic line. And I totally see why. This bodysuit fits you perfectly, has stretchy fabric and pairs well with any bottoms.
Pros:- Soft fabric that's fitted
- Pairs with any bottom
Cons:- Heavier than I expected (but good for fall and winter!)
- Buttons are hard to snap

A beautiful star skirt in black tulle perfect for Halloween outfits! I wore this during my fall trip to Salem since it gave my witchy vibes. Gonna be keeping this for upcoming fall season outfits.
Pros:- Elastic waistban
- Flowy and fun
Cons:- None - it's perfect for spooky season

Mocha And Beige Sweater Set - super soft and cozy for lounging around the house or even as pajamas. I got 4 compliments from strangers when I wore this to the airport to my New England fall road trip!
Pros:- Quality fabric
- unique yet trendy design
- So comfy!
Cons:- No pockets

This oversize brown puffer jacket is my favorite piece of clothing I've gotten for autumn. It packs so light since you can squeeze it down, but it's warm enough for those crisp fall mornings. It pairs well with those checkered pants and sweater, along with hiking outfits or streetwear.
Pros:- It has pockets!!
- Packs well
- Cozy
Cons:- Wish it came in more colors
PS Pink Lily often has sales and the skirt I bought was quickly marked down to $20 so if there is something you are eying and it hasn’t sold out, try waiting for the discount codes to launch.
Pink Lily Sizing Review
I’ll be so honest here: I was prepared for nothing to fit. I wear a size 12/14 and toggle between Large and XL, but it’s common for smaller fashion brands like Pink Lily to have wildly inaccurate size charts. Combined with all of their models being skinny women, and some clothing items only being offered up to a size Large, I saw all the red flags.
But, in reality, everything fit perfectly fine. I was shocked, I won’t lie. I tried on the skirt: fit on my waist like a hug. The loungewear set wasn’t too tight or too loose. The vest could be layered over sweaters and still allow me to move my arms.
I didn’t try any of the Pink Lily dresses, jeans or shorts but I would bet it’s highly likely you are safe to order your normal size here. Woohoo!!
Pink Lily Shipping
Pink Lily offers free shipping on orders over $90 and they arrive pretty quickly – no waiting around 3 weeks for something to be shipped from China. Pink Lily has warehouses in the United States!
So, if you are only looking to checkout on one item you will probably have to pay a shipping fee depending on the price of it.
Pink Lily Better Business Bureau Review
Let’s take a peek at the BBB review for Pink Lily! They are accredited with an A+ rating, which is great.
They do have 1 star rating by users, which is pretty normal for online stores like this. Most reviews seem to all voice the same frustration over the return policy, which I cover in the below section. But, someone on the Pink Lily team actually answers all the all complaints which is a great sign that customer service is engaged.
Pink Lily Return Policy and Customer Service Review
Ok, here’s Pink Lily’s return policy:
Pink Lily gladly accepts returns or exchanges of unworn, unwashed, undamaged, unaltered, original form or defective merchandise purchased online that shipped to a U.S. address within 30 days from the date your order shipped. Pink Lily offers free returns for store credit only (Pink Lily E-Gift Card). Store credit is issued instantly once your return is picked up by the carrier and never expires.
Pink Lily offers exchanges for the same item in a different size when we are notified of the request within 30 days from the date your order shipped.
This translates to: you can’t return clothing and get your money back. You can return unworn items in 30 days for a gift card that you can use at Pink Lily. And I totally understand why customers are frustrated over this. I usually refrain from purchasing from stores with a policy like this, especially as a curvy woman.
So often items just don’t fit me well and I need to return them. Or, I shop from a store like Shein only to realize it’s all trash clothing and not something I want to keep (side note, please never ever shop at Shein, there’s a million reasons why in my Shein review post.)
So, this is absolutely something I would love to see Pink Lily change a policy on if they feel like they can. I’m sure there’s reasons it was enacted (probably customers buying outfits for Eras Tour concerts and returning them afterwards). But it’s still not an easy thing to work around as first-time buyers.
Things I Don’t Like About Pink Lily
It’s standard policy to include pros and also cons list in every one of my clothing reviews, but I’m happy to say the Pink Lily boutique only has two cons for me: the sizing and return policy.
Everything I ordered in Large and XL fit exactly how I wanted it to, their size charts are spot on, I just would love to see them offer more extended sizes. Let’s hear it for my Plus Size girlies!!
I was frustrated to see many of their top sellers stopped at a size Large, which isn’t even standard sizing offering of Small through XL. Pink Lily makes such trendy, cute and well crafted items that it would be amazing if they could offer more robust sizes and actually be inclusive.
The other negative aspect is their return policy, as they also operate on store credit not full refunds.
But the clothing is high quality, the fit is great, the ship time is great, and while some items are priced on the high end, many are very compare with what you could find at Target or Amazon, but just cuter and better made.
Honest Pink Lily Review Final Verdict: Are They Legit?
I was worried Pink Lily would have poor quality clothes, but was happy to find everything I ordered had legit fabrics and well crafted stitching.
They also have great sales and discounts, along with constantly updating their inventory. Unlike other stores or even places like Amazon Fashion, Pink Lily does a great job at curating not just trendy, fun pieces for capsule wardrobe items you’ll want to have for years.
Pink Lily is a legit clothing store to shop from, even as a curvy woman. In fact, I’ve been stalking their party dressed for holiday outfit this year and plan to shop from them again.
I also love how it was female founded and a small business based in the United States. If you are thinking of shopping here, I would urge you to give it a try.
