I know I can’t be the only one tired of cheap polyester clothing that’s bad for the planet, feels weird and falls apart after a few wears.
This year I’ve been on the hunt to make more sustainable purchases and build a capsule wardrobe that lasts for years, not months. I stumbled across Pact clothing but their site is 100% skinny models, so I had to know: do they fit curvy women like me, and are they actually a legit clothing brand?
In my honest Pact clothing review, I tested out a bunch of products and did some digging for you…
About Pact Organic Clothing
Pact brands itself as Earth’s Favorite Clothing Company, claiming that their sustainable clothing are made with no toxic dyes or pesticides and always use organic cotton. Pact is GOT and Fair Trade Certified to back this up.
They also partner with SimpliZero to offset carbon emissions and have a “good” rating by Good On You, a third party site that digs deep into brands to see who is agreenwashing or not.
That being said, Pact lacks a bit of transparency on textile waste and efforts to reduce energy but over all, you can feel confident that Pact really is who they say they are. No tricks here!
Honest Pact Clothing Review: Are They Worth It?
This was my first order from Pact so I had no idea what to expect here when I opened by package and touched the items for the first time. Here’s what I ordered:
What I Bought From Pact Clothing
Pact's classic Midi dress style with an open back that's still bra friendly. It has pockets! This would make a good travel dress, though, personally, I did not like the style for me.
- Drapes over curves well
- Lacks interesting colors
- Runs small
What I Love About Pact
They had quick shipping, easy returns and even run sales during major holidays.
Their ethical clothing is very well made (stitching is solid, the fabric feels great, etc) and unlike other some organic apparel brands, they are Fair Trade Certified so it’s not greenwashing over here.
What I Don’t Love About Pact
The size run small! That was the most disappointing. Companies like Girlfriend Collective prove that you can be sustainable and also size inclusive, it’s really not that hard but yet again, we have another brand that runs small.
The good news is Pact does offer sizing up to 2XL or 3XL, depending on the item. But with sizes running small, that really means they offer up to XL/2XL.
I also had a hard time getting excited about the fabric colors and honestly, some of the styles in general. They offer just earthy neutrals but not all of them are great. This brown color left me feeling more like a monk than I wanted.
Pact Reviews: Final Verdict
In my experience, Pact runs small which is a big frustration. But their clothing is very well made and I have no doubt will last for ages.
I find their color options to be lacking and a little dull, and I found the Pact dresses to fit well but not be the most exciting silhouette.
That all being said, I was impressed by Pact clothes and I think they are really wonderful for neutral basics that you want to last for ages.
Frequently Asked Questions About Pact Clothing
Does Pact clothing run small?
Yes, Pact apparel runs small in my opinion. Their size chart goes up to 3XL in some items, but you’ll need to size up when ordering.
Where to buy Pact clothing
It’s easiest to shop online directly at the company’s website and the most green, as they offset carbon emissions.
You can also find them in stores at Whole Foods or online at Amazon.
What’s Pact Clothing Review BBB?
Pact is NOT BBB accredited (boooo). They have a D rating and a 1.8 star rating from customers. Reviews are all over the place so there is nothing really to flag here. (Some companies have people all complaining about the same thing but Pact customer grievances look pretty standard in my opinion.)
Pact Customer Service Review
Pretty standard. Returns were very easy and seamless – they even offered Happy Returns to make it super fast at my local UPS store.
I didn’t have any issues with my order, but other reviews say they have a very fast customer service response time so they get a good grade here.
I didn’t get a chance to try Pact underwear or add Pact socks reviews (I’m good on both of those categories and didn’t want to add more to my closet right now).
There are also other Pact products, like bedding, that I didn’t try but I’ll update this when/if I do!
