Ahhh wine country. Something about Napa Valley & Sonoma County makes everything feel so romantic. I finally get why New Yorkers love vacaying in the Hamptons so much- a quick escape from the city is good for the soul. To me, Napa Valley is the Hamptons of San Francisco and I intend to take full advantage of it while I live here.
Anyways, this past Friday I had a wedding to photograph in Healdsburg which is in Sonoma. Robin wanted to come along and explore the town while I was working, so we decided to leave a bit earlier so we could do some exploring together. We walked around Healdsburg’s main square and grabbed some ice cream to eat in the park. Mine was lemon lavender and it was oh-so-good!
It was a high of 81 degrees that day compared to the 55 we woke up to in San Francisco, so I wore this floral printed maxi dress from Target that works well with a jacket for the morning drive. I love how exposed my shoulders are in this dress so I usually wear my hair up and sometimes even without a necklace. I paired this dress with my new sandal heels also from Target since these babies are really comfy to walk in. This outfit was the perfect amount of romance, chicness and comfort, which is all I really ask for in a lazy day in wine country. Actually, lies. I also ask for really, really good wine.
