A hotel can totally be the destination, too. These are the most magical, coolest Airbnb’s in Seattle to visit in person during your weekend getaway to the Emerald City.

10 Charming Airbnbs in Seattle A Unique PNW Getaway
Houseboats with rooftop decks. Chic apartments steps away from Pike Place Market. Historic lofts and even an urban farm. These are the best Airbnbs in Seattle for a unique Seattle vacation!
Location: West Lake / On Lake Union
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $190 / per night
This has to be one of the coolest vacation rentals in the city. I mean, how often do you get to sleep in a HOUSEBOAT?! There are a handful of Airbnb Seattle houseboats but this one has the best decor and great reviews from past guests.
It's also on the South Lake Union area, so super close to Downtown Seattle and the Space Needle, making it a great central location for visitors! It also has a back patio so you can sip on craft coffee in the morning or a local IPA in the evening. This may just be the most romantic Airbnb in the city.
Location: Pioneer Square
Guests: up to 4
Price: $144 / per night
Pioneer Square is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Seattle and low-key feels like Boston or Gastown (Vancouver) when you wander the streets. This moody loft nails it for all the historic vibes you want when staying in Pioneer Square. From towering ceilings and exposed brick, to cozy elements and string lights, this Airbnb would be the perfect holiday vacation rental.
Plus, it's close to the light rail and within walking distance to all the hot spots in Downtown Seattle. You can walk to Pike Place Market & stop by the Original Starbucks. Or head to the pier or even take an underground haunted city tour!
Location: Beacon Hill
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $79 / per night
As the photo suggests, YES, you can hang out with goats at this cool urban farm! Tucked at the end of Beacon Hill, this unique one-bedroom apartment on the property has cool wood ceilings and eclectic farm-chic decor. It's dog friendly, too. And, again. GOATS!!!!!
PS this is probably best for those renting a car as it is a bit far away from Downtown Seattle.
Location: Border of Freemont & Woodland Park
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $145 / per night
Blocks away from the famous Freemont Troll, this cute guest house is full of whimsical fun. From the rustic barn door to colorful tile on the patio, this may be the best Airbnb in Seattle to experience the city like a local. I love this neighborhood, too.
There are tons of cute shops and eats in the area. Woodland Park is also a close walk to Lake Union and Gasworks Park (a cool utterly "Seattle" thing to see!) and also fairly close to the trendy Ballard neighborhood as well. This may be the best area to stay in Seattle!
Location: Capitol Hill
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $70 / per night
Capitol Hill is packed with chic coffee shops, funky bars (for example, one if filled with old arcade games and neon lights) along with a huge Starbucks Roastery, boutique stores, clubs and also outdoor trails at Volunteer Park. This minimal studio is in the heart of all it!
We love the careful pops of color in the decor, but best part may be the rooftop in this apartment building which as a sweeping view of Puget Sound, the Space Needle and the Downtown Seattle skyline.
Location: Ballard Waterfront
Guests: up to 4
Price: $175 / per night
This has to be one of the most unique Airbnbs in Seattle! This renovated fisherman's cottage is located on the historic Chittenden Locks, complete with water access for guests.
Neighbors include a private fishing charter (that you can rent a spot on) making this a fun Airbnb for anyone looking to really get that Quintessential Seattle seaside vibe. (We want to stay here on our next visit!)
Location: Alki Beach / West Seattle
Guests: up to 4
Price: $169 / per night
Fall in love with this hot tub and deck with a stunning water view!! If you're looking for an Airbnb in West Seattle near Alki Beach, this duplex offers alllllllll the big windows and sunset views you could ask for. Great for a family since there's tons of space to sprawl out. Grab a glass of wine and soak in the hot tub while gazing at the sunset.
Location: Ballard
Guests: up to 4
Price: $125 / per night
My husband and I LOVE Ballard. This neighborhood seems to be where a lot of the younger locals live. Think trendy craft breweries, farm to table restaurants and interesting thrift stores. This guest cottage Airbnb fits the area perfectly!
I love the skylight in the bedroom and cozy kitchen vibes downstairs. Plus, that cute bathroom tile is to die for!
Location: Upper Woodland Park
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $81 / per night
This super-affordable tiny house studio is also located in Woodland Park, but much closer to Green Lake and the Rose Garden. Guests rave about how tranquil this spot is. The decor is minimal but has all the modern amenities you want, plus some chairs outside for nice summer days!
Location: East Lake
Guests: up to 2
Price: $117 / per night
Come swoon over the views from every room in this East Lake Airbnb. It's a bit further out from Downtown Seattle, making it the perfect Seattle vacation rental for anyone in need of some serene peace and quiet. Past guests rave about all the natural light and how you can pretty much only hear the sound of birds and boats clanking in the water below.
PRO TIP: Where To Stay In Seattle
There aren’t many outstanding Airbnbs in the heart of Downtown Seattle near Pike Place, The Space Needle, etc. BUT, this area is packed full of really great hotels. So, if you are hoping to stay blocks away from the touristy sights then opt for a hotel instead. My two favorites are Hotel Max and Palihotel. Otherwise, this list above has the best Airbnbs in Seattle for a unique, local take on the city!
