16 Best Romantic Cabins in Washington State (Hot Tubs, A-Frames, Treehouses & More)

Romantic Airbnb overlooking a valley in Washington State

Picture this: you just spent the day hiking through Olympic National Park. As you pull up to your cabin, the rain starts to fall. Inside, you light a fire, pull on a sweater, and open a bottle of Washington wine for a home-cooked dinner. Cozy doesn’t even begin to cover it.

The Pacific Northwest has no shortage of romantic weekend getaways, but for me, the cabin is always the heart of the trip. Hot tubs under the stars, wood-burning fireplaces, forest views, or whimsical design touches, these are what make a getaway magical.

I’ve sifted through tons of rentals to find the very best romantic cabins in Washington. Some are A-frames tucked in the Cascades, others are treehouses or beach huts with epic views. Some I’ve stayed at myself, others come highly recommended by friends, and a few are still on my personal PNW bucket list.

No matter if you’re celebrating an anniversary, planning a Valentine’s trip, or just want a cozy reset with your person, these cabins are worth the drive.

Grab your boo and head to a cute romantic cabin!
Romantic winter setting at the Sleeping Lady resort in Leavenworth, Washington

I judge a cool Airbnb or cabin based on style/decor, location, amenities, past guest reviews and anything that really makes it stand out. If the cabin is worth the drive alone, then I want to stay there. (Otherwise, I usually opt for resorts or hotels.)

Picking your cabin totally depends on what sort of day time things you are looking to do. No matter which beach or national park you pick, there will be tons of hiking. If you’re looking for hot springs, something around Steven’s Pass will be best. Lake Chelan was a great wine scene and Leavenworth is literally a Christmas town which is so dang romantic.

All these are cabins that I trusted friends have stayed at, or are on my PNW cabin bucket list. Keep reading for the BEST cabins in Washington State.

Best Romantic Cabins in Washington State

These are my top picks for romantic cabin rentals in Washington, including A-frames, cottages, treehouses, and luxury cabins near national parks, wine country, and the coast.

The Little Bear A-Frame Cabin

Location: Leavenworth
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $182 per night

I'm a sucker for A-frames. I think make just some of the coolest Airbnbs to rent, and this one is located outside Leavenworth is probably one of the most romantic Washington State getaways year-round, but especially come Christmas time.

Grab your boo, your matching ugly Christmas sweaters and head to The Little Bear Cabin. After soaking up all the holiday festivities this Bavarian-style town offers (like petting reindeer) come back here and build a fire while cuddling.

Hobbit House in Washington!

Location: Orondo
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $400 per night

OH MY GOD - how cool is this little hobbit house in Washington State?! If you're looking for a truly unique romantic getaway for your boo, this will absolutely do the trick (especially for any Lord of the Rings fans!)

Mt Rainier Cabin W/ Hot Tub

Location: Ashford
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $142 per night

The coziest, cutest little cabin to make home base while exploring Mount Rainier National Park! The inside makes me want to snuggle up, but it's the outside area that's the real star of this tiny cabin. There's a firepit, outdoor dining area, string lights AND a hot tub.

BUT, this cabin is located near a local swimming hole. I'm pretty obsessed with swimming holes and hot springs, so I know that you'll find yourself swimming a TON while visiting.

Airy Skykomish SkyCabin

Location: Skykomish
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $221 per night

Skykomish is tucked close to Stevens Pass next to waterfalls, hikes, mountain bike trails, hot springs and so much more. The SkyCabin is full of light and has a fully equipped kitchen with an indoor-outdoor space.

Plan on slow mornings with a homecooked breakfast, then daily adventures out exploring the Cascades before dinner on the patio at night. So dreamy!

Cedar Hollow

Location: Monroe, Washington

Guests: Up to 2

Price: $442 per night

Cedar Hollow is tucked into a mossy Cascade forest and feels like a full-on wellness retreat. There’s a hot tub, barrel sauna, and cold plunge, I’m a sucker for cabins with spa vibes, and this one has it all. Summer is perfect for forest hikes followed by hot/cold therapy, while winter means cozy nights soaking under the trees after the snow.

White Salmon Surf Shack

Location: White Salmon / Columbia River Gorge
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $104

Um hello, let me please star gaze while soaking in that hot tub! Columbia River Gorge is always a favorite of the weekend getaways in Washington for those looking to balance river activities with craft beer and farm to table dining. The entire state is stunning, but a lot of people think the Columbia River Gorge area is the best. It's also close to Portland if you are looking for a romantic getaway from Oregon, too.

This little cabin is dog friendly, so you can bring your pup! Snaps for a pet friendly space.

Tye Haus A-Frame (IG Famous)

Location: Steven's Pass
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $282 per night

Tye Haus is probably the most Instagram-famous PNW cabin. He has his social game on lockdown, that's for sure. What makes these adorable a-frame cabins romantic are their cozy fireplaces, string lights and outdoor hot tub. Plus, they're close to natural hot springs, waterfalls and hikes!

Dahlia Bluff Cottage With Views

Location: Bainbridge Island
Guests: Up to 5
Price: $275 per night

A ferry ride away from Seattle is Bainbridge Island, a quirky island full of small shops, gardens, trails and amazing views of Puget Sound, Seattle and the Cascade Mountains. And this airy, modern home is simply the best place to book!

My jaw dropped when I saw all the outdoor space in this cabin. That hot tub! That deck! It's so bright and cheerful, I couldn't believe this was in Washington State. Plus, the decor inside is Instagram worthy and so dang chic.

Magical Treehouse w/ Hot Tub

Location: Redmond
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $462 per night

If you're looking for a romantic getaway near Seattle, this magical treehouse (with a hot tub) is *chef kiss* so dreamy. You simply must click over to see the treehouse all light up with string lights at night.

Inside are all the modern amenities you want (kitchen, tv, couch, etc.) And there's that nice deck to soak up tree time.

Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins

Location: Carson
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $279 per night

Close to the Hood River, these luxury cabins are perfect for anyone looking for many romantic evenings next to an outdoor fire, under the stars and with a local craft beer (or wine) in hand. Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins are all those rustic hunting lodge vibes, but with modern luxury perks (like a hot tub!)

Iconic Storybook Cottage

Location: Olalla
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $115 per night

Wow- this house is so unique, it looks like it was pulled right out of a storybook (I guess hence the name!) Everything from the interiors (filled with cool stone-like walls, whimsical door frames, plush pillows) to the outside (ferns! forests! fairy houses!) is pure magic. It reminds me a lot of my stay at this cottage in Oregon.

Chevy Chase Beach Cabins

Location: Port Townsend
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $89 per night

The Chevy Chase Beach Cabins were named by Sunset Magazine as one of the most romantic cottages in the country. Located near steps from the beach, these cabins make it easy to take sunset walks by the water ( romantic getaways always need a sunset walk on the beach, right?!) Some of the cabins have amazing views right from the bedroom, so you can wake up to the sights and sounds of the bay. Can't get more romantic than that!

Pine Cone Cabin

Location: Clinton, Whidbey Island

Guests: Up to 2

Price: $340 per night

The Pine Cone Cabin is basically a little spa retreat in the woods. There’s a private outdoor soaking tub, plus a wood-fired sauna and cold plunge. I’m a sucker for cabins with hot tubs, and this one lets you soak under the trees at night with a glass of wine in hand. It’s also dog-friendly, which is always a win for me.

The Pacific Northwest Retreat

Location: Issaquah, Washington

Guests: Up to 2

Price: $345 per night

This cabin is tucked in the woods near Issaquah but still close to Seattle, Bellevue, and Snoqualmie Falls, so it’s perfect if you want a mix of city fun and nature escapes. The modern design feels super clean and cozy, with a king bed and big windows looking out at the trees. In winter, it’s an easy drive to Snoqualmie Pass for skiing. In fall, I’d book this spot for wine harvest season at Chateau Ste. Michelle then come back here to sip a bottle by the trees.

Olympic Panorama Lake House

Location: Port Angeles, Washington

Guests: Up to 4

Price: $379 per night

This retro log cabin sits right on Lake Sutherland, just outside Port Angeles at the mouth of Olympic National Park. I love Port Angeles, the downtown is cute, with breweries and coffee shops, and this cabin makes the perfect base for exploring the park by day and swimming or fishing from the private dock at night. Summer is best for lake time, while fall is gorgeous for crisp hikes and brewery hopping in town.

Earthlight 2

Location: Orondo, Washington

Guests: Up to 2

Price: $662 per night

Earthlight is perched high above the Columbia River with insane panoramic views, honestly, it feels like you’re on top of the world. The villa has an open floor plan with a freestanding tub, glass shower, and a deck with a hot tub that’s perfect for sunset wine. I’m obsessed with how private it feels out here. Come in summer for hiking and Lake Chelan wineries, or in winter to snowshoe right outside your door and soak in the hot tub while the mountains turn white.

How To Pick The Right Romantic Cabin In Washington

Choosing your cabin depends on the vibe you’re after:

  • For wine lovers: Lake Chelan and Bainbridge Island have incredible wine scenes.
  • For Christmas magic: Leavenworth is the ultimate holiday town.
  • For hot spring access: Stevens Pass cabins like Tye Haus are your best bet.
  • For epic hikes: Look near Mount Rainier or Olympic National Park.
  • For coastal views: Forks, Orcas Island or Port Townsend deliver.

Best Time Of Year To Visit Romantic Cabins In Washington

  • Winter: Perfect for holiday lights in Leavenworth, snowshoeing in Rainier, and cozy fireplaces.
  • Spring: Fewer crowds, wildflowers, and still-cool nights for hot tubbing.
  • Summer: Best for island getaways, hiking, and lake swimming.
  • Fall: Gorgeous foliage, harvest festivals, and wine country trips.

Personally, I love fall and winter the most for cabin trips. Nothing beats hot cocoa in the snow or crisp autumn air by the fire.

How I Pick And Verify Cabins

I only recommend places I would book myself. I prioritize style, location, amenities, privacy, and recent guest reviews. Some of these I have stayed in, others come from trusted friends and reader recommendations that I vet before adding.

  • Recency Check: I re-check listings for current photos, recent reviews, pet rules, hot tub or sauna status, and winter access notes.
  • Price Reality: I note average nightly rates, prices change by season and demand.
  • Access And Safety: I look at drive times from Seattle, road conditions, ferry timing, and any 4×4 requirements. I flag common rules like fire bans and quiet hours.
  • Local Context: I add nearby hikes, wineries, and towns, plus seasonal tips so you can plan the right time to go.
