When you roll up to the Kenwood Inn and Spa Hotel in Sonoma County, it looks like you arrived at a villa plucked from Tuscany. There are a lot of hotels in Sonoma California, but the Kenwood hotel shines among the rest with their sprawling whimsical property, nightly wine happy hour, scrumptious breakfast (seriously I would drive back up to Sonoma JUST for those potatoes!) and their 3 pools.
Type: Luxury B&B
IG Rating: 4/5 aesthetics
Good For: Couples, friends
We arrived on a warm fall day and after picking up a glass of sparkling wine, were treated to beautiful orange leaves on many of the trees on our walk to our room. I imagine you can see the seasons passing here and every time of year gives a delightful new experience. Come to Sonoma Valley for a relaxing day of wine tasting, but retire to the Kenwood to extend the relaxation.
The Kenwood Inn Sonoma is in the countryside but just a minute drive from restaurants down the road, so you get the best of both worlds here.
California wine country right next door is one of my favorite perks of living in San Francisco. I love popping up for an overnight getaway, spending the day wine tasting and the evenings relaxing poolside. The Kenwood’s pools and hot tub are probably one of my favorites in the area.
They have THREE to choose from! A hot tub, a normal pool and a warming pool. I adore their warming pool, it’s the perfect in-between temperature (not too hot, not too cold) and I found myself taking a morning dip in it after coffee.
Oh, did I mention they have a fantastic breakfast? This isn’t your standard cold bagel and sugary yogurt situation like you find at many hotels. Everything is cooked fresh and we feasted on things like quiche with fresh chives, scones, bacon and more.
Our room was large, with a fireplace, spacious bathroom and balcony to enjoy the room views. Here’s all the amenities you can find at the hotel!
