It’s back! My Candle of the Month series is back just in time for end of summer.
I’ve been thinking about this candle for months you guys. I knew it would be perfect for August and I can’t wait to share more about this one with you.
Hot Desert Haze & Cactus Flower: An August Candle Inspired By Arizona 2021
This is the Paddywax Grand Canyon Candle and holy moly, I swear it smells just like Arizona. As you probably know, I’m always finding myself running around the desert.
The second I sniffed this candle at a local boutique in my neighborhood, I was immediately transported to somewhere among the saguaros in Arizona on a hot August day. That’s why I chose it to be our August Candle of the Month 2021!
What The August Candle Smells Like
Middle notes: Cactus flower, gardenia, white peony, aloe vera
Bottom notes: Matcha tea, Muguet, vanilla bean, bamboo
This candle is special because it’s part of Paddywax’s National Park Collection! They make a few candles that are inspired by the National Parks of the United States and pledge to donate to the National Parks Foundation. (Similar to Goodwell Supply Co, which makes a delicious Yosemite Candle that was our November 2020 pick!) We love to support products and brands that give back.
It’s a soy wax with fragrance oils and a crackling wood wick. The candles come in an 11ox ceramic vessel that also doubles as really cool decor. I plan on making this a little planter when all the wax is burned off since the color of this container matches my new home decor set from Target just perfectly!
For the life of me I can’t figure out what the burn time on this is as it’s not listed in the details, but I expect it to be good. The throw is really nice and fills up my living room pretty quickly!
